i really hope to get myself a mechanical mod by the end of the year... looking at the legacy mini by puresmoker as well as a DID short atomizer. it seems like a real trend using the mechanical mod with the gennys. i guess i kind of have a question somewhat of safety and just estimates. what are some coil configurations and ratings using 30g and 32g kanthal. also 28, but i know thats fairly new. i asked in another thread about using an evolv and if its worth it in a mechanical with a genisis style atomizer so if anyone else has some input it would be greatly appreciated.

Obviously the resistance for a given number of turns of a coil depends on the width of the wick, as well as the wire thickness, so it's highly variable. So yes, get a meter and make sure to measure resistance before you attempt firing it.

The Kick works well for me with Genesis mods. Some may feel restricted by the 10w power limit, but it's enough for my usage. It has it's own protection against shorts and results in a constant vapour production from start to finish. With direct battery power you will notice performance tail off as the voltage declines. It also stops you from over-discharging your batteries as it cuts off when voltage dips too low.
