The short Version: As far as the box is concerned: Im not sure if 30 will be enough or if I should go for a 50 watt box mod.
As far as the coils (On a box mod) What is the difference between using a .8ohm coil, vs. a 1.8 ohm coil. - I have heard that you want to get a HIGHER ohm coil with the box mods so that you get more power. So does the max WATTAGE matter then? Or is higher ohm coil good on lower wattage's?
Here is the rest of it: So you can get an understanding of my reference point.
Let me give a reference point (And I know this coils won't work on box mods, but its just for example purposes)
Right now I have a mech mod, running a 20g kanthol single coil, I think its 5-6 wraps, but it came out to .27 ohms, and I am using a half charged sony vtc 18650 battery.
Id like to get a rough idea what this warmth, vapor production and flavor is equivalent to when using a box mod.
What wattage would this be equivalent to on this 20g build?
Next,
What Wattage would give me the same type of hit off a .5-.9 ohm build. and What wattage would give me the same type of hit off a 1.4 - 1.8 ohm build?
If possible, could you also give an example of a coil set up that would give me each of those ohm readings so I can research coils that I would want to try in the new set up I want to get.
Ill be using a Infinite Magma RDA clone. and probably want to run a single coil on it, either single strand, or even parallel or 3 strands. Whatever works as long as its a single coil.
Here is what I am trying to avoid, I notice that a LOT of people use tank on the 30w devices, and I am all about dripping, the reason being is I picked up a kayfun lite tank mod, similar to the Russian 91%, and I hated it, While the flavor was decent, the vapor production was seriously lacking for MY taste.
Now I know that a lot fo my frineds, my mom, my gf etc etc all prefer a more "mellow" hit so they would be saticfied with the mild hit from a tank. So I usually chalk up tank users as more of the "Casual vaper"
Me, I like to be a bit more "extreme". Most people that drag my mech mod set up with like a 28g parallel set up or 20g super sub ohm builds on it say the hit is just way to harsh (It doesn't taste burnt) Its just too hard of a hit and too much vapor/flavor for them. So I would not say I fall into that "casual" category.
And so given that, sets the basis for all my confusion on what type of box mod and coil set ups that will work with their standard 0.5ohm - 3.0ohm coil limitations, but will be able to deliver the more "intense" vape that I personally enjoy.
