is two single wire 26 awg coils with 5 loops each the same as one coil with 2 wires 26 awg wires in parallel 5 loops

Electrically, yes. The plus for two single coils as opposed to a double wire coil is that you have two wicks feeding two coils instead of one wick feeding a double coil. That might come into play at higher wattage where wick starvation could occur.

Thanks trying to decide on one coil or two rda

I'd suggest starting with a 1.

For the difference you mentioned, performance isn't as simple as "double the coils, double the flavour". I personally prefer a thicker single coil over smaller dual coils.

But because of the resistances you'll be working with, it makes it easier to tailor builds. Because you're not halving your final resistance, makes it easier to use different wires. Generally uses less wattage, draws less amps, easier to build, easier to wick, easier to troubleshoot.

And my #1, I find the selection of great single RDAs to be a lot more plentiful and available.

Of course all of this is subjective. I'm sure some won't agree.

What single coil round wire do you suggest regulated mod

In a regulated mods I don't use round wire. I find multi (dual or triple) cored claptons to have the best surface area to mass ratio, without getting into diminishing returns you see with super exotic coils.

Nonetheless, if I only had round wire, i'd twist 24g or 26g NI80 or run it in parallel.

Either of those in 5 or 6 wrap with 3mm ID would give something between 0.2-0.3 ohms. I'd vape that at 45-65W probably. Because of the low mass you can run it at lower voltages.

I would recommend something like this over round wire: $5.61 Authentic GeekVape N80 Fused Clapton Heating Wire - 28*3+36 AWG / 10ft / 2.65ohm/ft at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

28*3+36 in particular is very useful. You can use it in single coil for a 0.23-0.33ish resistance coil and vape it at less than 3.7V, or throw it in a dual coil RDA and hit around the 4.0-4.2V
