I haven't touched a 510 battery since I made my first box, and I have 10 manual batteries and 1 automatic 510 battery. I just use my boxes for all my vaping. This is just another toy, what I really am going to do is build something about the size of a 2xAA box, but regulated to 5v. I have batteries and boxes ordered from China, so when they get here there will be another thread of one of my mods. Dam this is addictingpics would be very helpfull. I do't even want to use my 510 bats anymore, I keep two handing the CH and my 510 atty...at least this way I don't need to worry about the 2 way switch. lol![]()
The box mods are easy. I am progressing to other things that hold batteries, dam this is addicting. But just try it. My first was a 4xAAA box using 3 regular AAA batteries. The RCA connector looked like ..., but it worked. It is a progression, start simple, make mistakes, learn from them, move to the next level. It's just like a game to me. I hope to be on the level of some of the others some day, but I am happy with where I am at for now. Just keep dreaming of new ideas.I read your 5v thread, very nice. I can't wait to mod my first pv.![]()
I got tired of using both hands, I taped my atty on with electrical tape and it rocks, I still need an adaptor but this works fine for now.![]()
I haven't seen one up close yet, mine is on order, but I would think just replace the tip with an 801 battery connector. I read a few post back about having to replace the switch also, I'm going to look at that when I get mine. I also plan to do pic's of it coming apart and going back together. Once I see it I also have a really different idea on something, if it is even possible, but I'll save that as I don't know if it will work. What exactly is going to be needed to mod this baby so I can just screw in my Kissbox/801 attys?
Here are a couple other units that need to be modded...

The heat up time won't matter after you take the soldering tip off and connect an atty. The cool thing will be having the choice of power from low to high if it works that way.![]()
