I don't have any batt connectors but just to try my cold heat out I popped off the tip, held my 510 atty to the prongs(at an angle, so 1 prong touched the inside connection of the atty and the other touched the outside). Turned it on, saw the red light and hit it. Nice vapor, I almost got a head rush after 3 hits off it. Heats the atty up fast though. I will def be mounting an atty on this thing. Now thats an easy mod.:D:thumbs::w00t:

I read this thread a while back and found my pos cold heat, figured might as well try it. It works great just holding the atty to it, wow. I cant wait to modify the connection. Thanks for the thread. How does your atty hold up? I noticed mine got hot fast, but what a nic rush, made my head spin. I love it.:D

Did you have rechargeable's in it because Non rechargeable AA's are 1.5 volts? The Irons instructions say don't use Non-rechargeable's but they work fine for running an e-cig. atty.....I don't seem to be having any trouble with the 801 atty running on four rechargeables which total 5.68volts fully charged, but then I haven't been having much trouble with atties since I started doing a daily dry burn from new. The one I am using now has lasted three weeks tomorrow and is still working like new. I am happy as long as they last for at least two weeks.

yeah, I have for non-rechargables in it, They've been in it since i got it a few years ago.

Lol well it's unlikely they were still making 6volts if they are that old, but that was a good idea for how to test it with an atty, it didn't occur to me to try that before I started modding mine, It certainly makes some vapour at 5.68volts I only need to draw for about 4 or 5 seconds and I can't exhale it all in one go.

I've been following this thread too...
Been experimenting with a few methods to replace the atty myself. Not sure why because I only have one 510 atty that doesn't wick so well but it still works. Haven't lost one after heavy use for four months now... I don't rotate them either (meaning I'm only using one). Even running a couple of 6 volt mods.

Last weekend I bought some RC glow plugs. (Not enough vapor produced) But IT DID in fact produce vapor. Also ramped up the voltage from 1.5 to 3.6 and 6 volts. Still not enough vapor to be viable. HOWEVER I got a few more ideas and if I hit upon something I will post it on a new thread here.

Respects
