It's not completely finished but it's working on it. Some will go completely dark depending on the flavors used and the amount of time it steeps. I have some that are a chocolate brown. Once they start turning its a good time to start giving them a taste. ;)

Did you find an acceptable custard yet?

Just kind of curious, why does my DIY juice go from clear to a light amber color after a day or two? Does this mean it should be finished steeping?

Normal for some mixes. Would't worry about it.

Yes, actually the Strawberries and cream with some TFA Sweet Cream and a hint of TFA Cheesecake turned out awesome.

Found a recipe for another custard with Orange Cream, Strawberries and cream, and Mango. I ordered the Mango Friday.

These are my latest recipes. The 2 larger bottles are 50ml and are proven recipes. The smaller bottles are 10ml test recipes. All of them started out clear as spring water.

It's chemistry! I have a mix that starts out a very pale yellow, and turns a much deeper shade after a week or two. I have another one that starts out clear, but turns pink after a couple months. And still a third one that's almost as clear after six months as the unflavored I mixed up just the other day. I've never seen one that gets lighter over time, but changing colors and darkening is not necessarily unexpected.
