Pardon my brainstorming here, but has anyone toyed with the idea of trying to make a liquid that will produce colored vapors? Like, maybe adding some food coloring to your juice? If I had food coloring in the house right now I'd try it. But I don't, so I can't. Maybe I'll pick some up tomorrow just to see. Something tells me if won't work, but the kid in me is still dying to try. Anyone else have a similar idea?

Boy, wouldn't the FDA(ssholes) love that one?!

You can not paint, tint, or color water molecules.
The only known element with a naturally colored pale violet vapor is Iodine.

This thread pushes the envelop on vapor. It's gotten me to think "outside the box" (or outside the PV) about vapor (not just colored vapor).

One of my first impressions of e-cigs was: Gee, there's no "smoke" coming out of the other end (what would be the lit end:evil: of a cigarette). That's somewhat disappointing.

I don't think about that much anymore (since the vaping experience is so satisfying), but I wonder... Couldn't some of the vapor that is generated be routed back to a hole at the other end (where the LED is in most e-cigs)?

Probably not worth the effort or expense, but it might be appealing, especially to newbies (of course not marketed to "young people";)).

We get most of our iodine in fish, kelp, vitamin supplements, water , processed foods that contain iodized salt and table salt that says iodized on it that we need to keep us healthy and to prevent hypothyroid. But too much will cause hyperthyroid and throw off your whole endocrine system. As much as we vape, there would be a rash of people in the hospital!

There was actually a thread on here not too long ago concerning colored vapor using food coloring. I don't remember all that I read, but it seems to me that the vapor did not come out in color, and the color got in the mouth of the person vaping. Wish I could remember more because it was really funny. He tried red then green and it colored his teeth.

I like harry's idea everyone start cutting their e-juice with iodine, i mean the only effects i can foresee would be changing the black crap in our lungs to purple. It has to mean it's healthier, right?
uhmm...I did not advocate adding Iodine to eJuice, I merely was explaining why it is impossible to add color to vapor (molecules suspended in air), unless you shine a colored light source at the vapor, and then you see the colored light reflecting back at your eyes.
As MaryKay points out in her post, too much Iodine is going to ruin your interior bits.
