I agree paladinx. It is really the lack of clear and concise communication that is there critical issue. They should be using their "Closed" page on their site to post a few words each day about whats going on.

Plessdude - I agree.

Every morning I see the "open at 8am message" and sit here like a jerk banging away at F5. Then after about 15 minutes of failed attempts, I give up. Each time I do this I get a little more irked, wondering why they can't just post a message the night before stating that they won't open the next day. I'm certain they're busy but come on, so am I. A little effort posting an accurate message every night would save a lot of people a lot of time and frustration (not that the .....ing would stop).

Hi RRaider,

I am just chiming in because he was here 2 days ago stating that he would have another update later in the day but never followed through. I think that is what is being referred to. As far as the message on the main web site I have to agree that this should only take away 2 minutes of his time and not all of the AVE customers are members of the ECF community. It's probably not all that reasonable to expect your customers to search through a forum regarding the status of your shop when you say that you are closed for the day and will reopen at 8am.

Just say'n :)

~BW

He already said he would let us know once the site was successfully ported to the new server and ready to open up again.

I wish somebody would make an "exact" clone. I would be ALL over it...and would never look back. Im sure Robs a nice guy and all (blah, blah, blah) but im my 25 years of management, ive yet to see customers put on the "back burner" as ive seen with this situation. NO...I am not talking about the technical issues...that is understandable. I am referring to the "COMMUNICATION" issues. There is No excuse for that.

I think the fact that AVE closed while they were working out their kinks and close when they reach their daily capacity is pretty genius from a business perspective. I'm not saying that the site being down was intentional, but you couldn't have designed a better word-of-mouth marketing campaign. Every time someone posts a complaint on these forums about not being able to get their boba's bounty, and perhaps more importantly, aren't able to find a suitable alternative, creates more and more demand for the product. In fact, when I first started vaping and reading these forums, someone was complaining that boba's had been out of stock for a few weeks which led me check their site prety much every day for a month until I actually got to place a boba's order. over the course of the month, I probably placed three or four orders for other juices on their site. It says something that even the OP paladinx talks about how annoyed he's been because it took him forever to get his order in several months ago, yet he's still going back to the site everyday to put in another order.

I'd also point out that people will keep trying to place that coveted first order, and as long as their orders are processed in a timely fashion, they will likely keep coming back for more. The hype and demand is there and taking more orders than they can handle will only hurt the brand in the long run. Eventually AVE will find a way to increase capacity and have a loyal following that will sustain their business for years to come. Not taking orders just makes the customer want it more. Crappy customer service will make them want it less or not at all.

I had a reminder on my outlook calendar ever since the "Will re-open tomorrow at 8am PST" banner was posted on their new site, and ever day at 11am EST, I long into the site, and on Monday morning, I GOT MY BOBA'S ORDER IN!!!!!!!!! I wasn't actually sure whether or not it went through because I got an error message on the website, but got a confirmation e-mail from Ben. I didn't realize until now that they only re-opened on monday. i guess that explains why my order number was #12....... Sure enough, I got my shipping notification and tracking number yesterday and my package is somewhere in between california and atlanta! Someone asked about the 25% coupon, which I didn't know about, but looking at my invoice, it was applied to my order. That was a pleasant surprise.

Keep it up AVE. I commend you for your business prowess.

I think they are open, they just stop taking orders after 2 hours. If you don't log in at like 8am you can't buy from these people.. its ridiculous. Specialty items that cost a fortune per item I can understand.. but I figure with juice.. the more you sell the more money you make.

That's 8am PDT, 11am EDT.

While I understand the complaints about communication he doesn't just post his updates here, they are on facebook and twitter as well. The last two days they have been sorting through (based on order numbers I've seen) way over 150 orders, matching them up to payments, mixing the e-juice to fill those orders and getting them shipped out. All the while they are having the website moved to a dedicated server. I'm sure they are swamped and while they probably should take a minute to let everyone know what is going on I can see why they haven't.

Honestly I think one of you prayed for patience, this is your answer. :D

I don't buy that. Given all the complaining by customers it is not unreasonable to expect a simple update, either on the web site home page or an update on Facebook page.

Sorry, my patience is closed for the day. It will return at 8am PST. Won't say what day though.

Lol. The more I think about it the more I am completely perplexed as to why they don't post status updates on their closed page. Just doesn't make sense. It would be so much simpler to just post there and ignore the forums, twitter, and FB.

Did you ever stop to think that changing the site content while transferring the site could cause issues?

Perhaps there is nothing to update? He is at the mercy of GoDaddy to get everything transferred and from past experience they aren't always keen on informing you of every little step they make. In the mean time he is doing what he said he would, filling orders that both completed and those that received payment but error-ed out. I'm pretty sure he wound up with way more orders to fill than what he was expecting since the orders that error-ed out after payment was made did not figure into the daily allotment.

They have been open everyday... You just have to be there at 8:00 a.m. PST - if they are out of Boba's Bounty and/or Gorilla Juice they are open for hours. If those two juices are in stock, which is the case currently, they are only open from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. If you want to order from them you have to be there when they open - it's been that way long before their "big shutdown."

Yeah exactly.. Its fkin absurd.. what company is only open 5 to 20 minutes. What the hell was the point of the close down?? They should have came back with gallons of that stuff..and a support team. I can't be at the computer at 8am to place an order. Most ridiculous thing I ever heard. they come back months later and still doing the same crap. we gotta be there at the door like black friday like they are giving away a free television or liquid gold. Obviously their main juices are bobbas and gorilla,, thats all they really need to focus on, they could have came back with a surplus. You all can keep defending the ridiculousness of that company, I for one think its a big joke. I been trying to place this damn order before new years...... OVER SIX MONTHS.. They finally open, and since I can't be at the computer at 8am on the dot to place an order I can't order anything. Most backwards assed runned business I ever heard of in my life. Please just sell your formulas and business to someone who can run the damn thing. Please

That sums it up nicely, ty. I'd add that our customers can use the "wish list" function while we are offline to add items to their shopping cart. Once we open those items will be placed into your cart and will immediately be available for checkout.

Exactly what I did, just a little prep and it went right thru. The hardest part was waiting for the mail. It really is worth it according to my tastebuds.

I agree that this sucks too but it's always been this way. The only difference I recall is that ave used to ship juice to resellers like cov and smoktech. That at least made it easier for people who couldn't be at the computer at a certain time. Hopefully they will start selling to resellers again once they get caught back up.

So they should change.. They closed down forever, you would think they would come back with some sort of friggin improvement. Maybe barrels and drums of bobas and gorila juice. but no.. same exact crap. like one person is mixing each back in a bucket in his basement. ..But ooo lets give them a round of applause for fixing their credit card problem..

Thats another reason why I am so fkn ...... off at these ....... .. Awhile ago after trying for months,, by some freak miracle of GOD almighty ... The moon was at a precise orbit around earth during a rare solar flare event.. i was able to actually order bobas bounty.. I felt like I won the publishing clearance house sweepstakes or hit the gd damn lottery.. THE ONE TIME i was finally able to order from these ... people.. My credit card gets stolen and someone charges 5,000 worth of .... on my card. I had a hell of a time filling out paper work on pay pal and a bunch of .... I had to go through to get all those charges dropped..I also had to ship back merchandise that was shipped to my house from these fraudulent purchases. This is why im disgusted at these people. They got a product everyone wants cause of pbusardo.. they should pay him if they don't already since he mentions it in every video.. They got a hot product, yet a bunch of trained gorillas could do a better job .. Sell your damn .... to wholesalers.. sell it to different sites do something. What the hell did you guys do for me for all the trouble you caused me cause you can't run a business.. can't even secure your account info. . Make me wait for 9 months to order a bottle of juice.. You guys don't deserve the popularity and demand you got. Its like a ...... who can't drive owning a Lamborghini ..

Now before the fan boys attack me and this site flags this post and warns me and all the other nonsense cause im speaking the truth.. realize the least I can be allowed to do is vent. This company created a big mess that took awhile to sort through with my stolen account... and my reward for that is not even being able to place an order.. for the headache u people gave me i should be getting a free fkn bottle,, not free aggravation.
