:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Instead of buying 1 original that had a cap with a correctly lined-up airhole; no electrical tape needed; expertly machined and finished; no potentially damaging-to-your-health monkey metals included; and making sure that the guy who came up with the idea and design got the money.

Good choice.

I have 2 DUDs and the holes are both relatively close; one I back off a mm or two, the other is almost spot on. I am of the opinion that yes, the build quality of the originals are impeccable; yet for someone who wants to see if a Genesis is for them, $150+ is a lot to ask.
I think that more originals will probably be sold once people see if the G-style atty is something they want. I also think that a lot of people will dump the G-style when the find out the effort required to make them work.

On a side note:
If the Chinese are so good at copying, why can't they get the air holes right? For God's sake, drill the hole in the cap after it's assembled!

i have two of the china did's ,chid's dud's what ever the h___ people are calling them,,too many to remember all of them :)

the air hole lines up perfect on both of them without the rubber o-ring

china is starting to make some that the top cap pushes on so air hole alignment will not be an issue, and they are solid stainless steel

Do you really think these expensive gen mod makers came up with the idea themselves? NO. They copied someone else who made one in their garage and then charge an arm and a leg for em.

How soon we forget Raidy who introduced the idea in America. I do not know if he originated the Genesis or not, but no one knew about stainless steel 'mash' (as Raidy called it) and the wicking properties of it until he posted his thread 'All my mods'. Search for 'Raidy', it makes for interesting reading (if you got a couple of days).

actually without getting into who knew what and who brought what to the game in ecig mods becuase everyone has their own part and contributions but the fact is steal mesh has been used for years prior to ecigs for something similar which i wont discuss here and it was also known they steal mesh needed to be heat treated prior to use. Obviously the credit goes to whoever tarted using steal mesh in ecigs tank for wicking but this isnt new

I agree with that sentiment but slowly we will see advancements in these designs, form wicking material, to the positive and negative posts and yes they are obviously copying the designs that are like genesis but at the same time because of how they can mass produce them and how they can do whatever we like to how the screws work and the posts and airflow i think we will get further advancements having these products copied and brought to the masses, look at the eternity for example, not only does it work well as a dripper that holds more then other system before it for dripping but also the special spike design actually makes the ego tank portion work and work very well which not even the original did well with

Bad,
My big selloff is complete. PP acct is jacked and ready for spending. Any idea where I can lighten my burden? Bring it!!

Hey this joeyramone tool is trolling thru all threads doing the same thing he's doing here. He is being reported by another forum Baddog. Don't even respond if he comes back. Just ignore him and let it run its course.

EDIT: Possibly inappropriate reference removed. I did not mean what it sounded like.

Yes, very interesting reading, indeed. Raidy's introduction of ss mesh (or mash, as he called it) certainly created a frenzy among the modders, a couple years ago.

Funny:) Those days, and those vices and devices are what I am always reminded of and the closest analogy I can think of to the innovation, variety and craftsmanship I have seen in the evolution of the PV and the various juice delivery mechanisms.

Well I think I would like to buy a clone first..and I have heard they work as well as the original...so I for one dont mibd buying a clone from you at all...cant wait for the mail when you put them out...Thanks

As long as the necessary steps are taken to get the airhole to line up with the wick, if it doesn't already, It doesn't matter what surrounds a wick and coil.
There are subtle differfences, however with a little ingenuity, the ultimate vape can be accompolished, with any wick and coil setup.

Yep. It boils down to fit and finish. Vaping wise, it's the same wick and coil, whether you're putting them in a clone or a high end unit.

I've got both the high ends atty and the low end attys,,you know there really is no real difference between the two at all, other then material composite and quality of the threads ?? is the price,,for the price of a high end atty i can now buy 5-10 low ends attys depending on how i get them

Now that China is making solid SS attys there goes one of the difference's ,so why spend too dam much money on a designer ???especially if you are actually planning on using it in the real world ??

zap, zau, zag, orion, katana ,,to me these all look exactly the same,,bliss ,did and cobra are the only ones that really look different then all the other high ends out there ,
