A tip to keep good contact is to take off the magnet and push the positive post back up so the magnet is a cube again with no post sticking out...put the magnet on the battery and attach your carto/clearo and twist it on until it makes contact.

sorry if you already do this but if not give it a try

Can you explain this further? What do you mean by "push the positive post back up"? I don't know if you could provide pictures.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know where my iTaste is? I have misplaced it. Because I have the "chameleon" color, I believe it is holding true to its name. It must've ran away also with a bottle of chocolate mint juice, because I cannot locate that either. I wish I had a homing device on my PVs, they do not respond when I call out for them. Where are you hiding my prettiesssss???

So, despite my complaints on this device, I do like that it is a small VV PV. Are there other similar PVs out there, that are nice and small but still allow you to do VV in small increments? Non of this low, med, and high stuff for me. I want my odd little preferences. A 3.9 here, 4.2 there. My other VV only does the 3 step, but I got this generic tube mod for its gigantic battery. However, it's just so heavy and bulky it does a number on my wrist if I just want to lounge back and waste time online while vaping. Had to specify "while vaping."

I want to be able to design and build my own vaping machines. I would make such pretty yet utilitarian ones, in my mind. :p

Also, I like the passthrough function for PVs, but my little old Acer netbook can't handle it. At least when it's on and being used. If it's closed and in standby or whatever, I can get enough power to not overload the USB port. Unless do I have certain USB outlets that are more powerful than others on this Acer? It was able to handle the iTaste with passthrough function for a little bit, but then next day when I tried to do that, no dice. I did have a cheapo laptop cooling fan going through one USB port, but even stopping that I kept on overloading the USB port. Hmm, looks like I can passthrough my Leo right now just fine while using this laptop, and the fan too. I didn't think I had my iTaste up high at all voltage wise, too, when I was trying to do the passthrough thing. But I found it odd that the computer liked it for a day or so, but then next day when I tried to do it, even just plugging it into the USB port it automatically overloaded the port. Not like it matters right now anyway since it is still hiding from me. Might be in the car. Oy, such a messy car.

Have you tried a regular ego twist or the vision spinner? VV in a fairly compact design.

I like seeing the numbers and being able to get many small increments. Do these twists and spinners allow for more than basically low, med and high? Can I twist/spin them in-between the 3 settings by chance?
I wish the iTaste would also show battery life, as puffs are very relative and button color is not very helpful.

They do allow adjustments anywhere between 3.2 and 4.8. The numbers are easier to read on the Vision spinner and they are both very acurate as to the voltage you get and what they are set at.

My review: I don't like my iTaste. I really hate the looseness of the magnetic connector as 50% of the time I don't get it to fire my tank. Other times it seems to only fire sporadically, again poor connection?, giving me a partial, weak hit. It is almost unusable with a Vivi Nova tank both large and small. This is a deal breaker for me. The puff counter counts these non-firings. It consistently recommends 4.8 - 5.0 voltage on a low resistance clearomizer, again, possibly due to it not making a connection? Way too high and burns my juice. I have it set at 3.7 and 4.0 is too high. I wonder if the control is reliable. Probably because its a passthrough, the light turns green as soon as you plug it in. No way to know when it is fully charged?

Could have been a good idea if the quality was better.

Innokin came out with a new iTaste square that doesn't have the magnetic connection and you just screw things in. It's apparently a whole lot better in that regard. However, Kanger now has a square shaped PV, though it isn't VV. It still looks cool, though, and you can get square-shaped Kanger clearos too to match the various colors of the battery.
Innokin also has a nice looking box-mod that also is a backup power source since it's an 2200mAh or something like that battery(s), I forget. It looks really nice, sorta like a refined Reo. You can see these new Innokin things on the Innokin website.
