No, you may find this hard to believe but I was making an allusion to her chest.........:lol::lol:

You, sir, are approaching indecency. Sometimes I forget you are a yankee, bless your heart...

I actually cruised like that around Frankfort with my buddies Hyland and Couwenhoven in my Mercury Monterey, my sister and her two best friends with us, there was little to do but good times were found in that old boat.......:)
Mine was red.....:thumb:

In '79 I was still hoofin' it or biking. I didn't get a car (or driver's license) until 1986 when it appeared that the closest Pink Floyd was going to play was Cleveland and it was cheaper to buy a car than to get bus tickets (and miss the extra days at work).

Wasn't that Helen Reddy originally? ;)

Errr. It was Alexander Harvey, originally--in 1972. Then Tanya Tucker (also in 1972) and Helen Reddy in 1973. That's splitting hairs, though, since I wasn't in control of the radio when I heard it. Liked the song enough, but when I was tuning the box it was playing Three Dog Night and The Faces and T-Rex and The Guess Who--and those stations played neither Reddy nor Tucker (nor Twitty nor Pride nor Robbins--that was my dad's radio).

Does anyone see the irony that there is a contest about me that I could not enter as I am so techologically deficient?:laugh:

Actually, that seems pretty "par for the course" to me.

Even the people that create threads and contests in your honor give you no respect...

We were going to run a contest where only hippies named Rippleinstillwater could enter - but we figured somehow you'd lose and we didn't want to disappoint you  :p

Don't you remember that I almost lost 2 contests that were specifically designed for me -- the AVEjuice one where MrsPorphy made my pat answer "Ruthless People" as the movie back when they used to have fun contests and Travis at VJ had one that was geared especially for me where all I had to do is post a certain line - -and I still nearly screwed it up!!! Binners and SK probably remember those two embarassing episodes.......

We loved in outer suburbia, there was nothing to do but cruise around and go to barn parties.....so many days have passed, Dazed and Confused is one of the most accurate movies made about that era......... :)

I was remembering Helen singing it on Caorl Burnett...........
