No, I felt nothing but guilt every time I handled it, like it was a gift from the Romans to change my christianity, the only reason I got it was to quiet me as the VFers didn't want to hear me whine about never winning a mod and he tried to buy their affection that way. I'm not stupid nor naive, I didn't deserve it and he did it for ulterior motives, it was expensive, though.......- but you never even tried it??? I think I would have had to . . . .

So many comments are coursing through my head -- a lot of kneeling and proselytizing jokes -- but I'll be good lest I be judged....

In my experience they are very religious. They have generally managed to void their chosen religion of all spirituality and follow it...ummm..."religiously."

And its funny to me that on FauxNews (and most of the religious right) they rail against the muslims not following Islam and the Koran but their self-professed defense of Christianity is full of attacks and bigotry, not full of God's kindness or Jesus' directives to love your neighbor as you do yourself, they pick and choose what aspects of the good book they need to further their agenda........
Okay, I spent some time thread-hunting and now I can reply from a stand-point of knowledge and understanding...
Ummm...I think you missed the whole point of her little tirade. She never said anything about objectifying women, her multi-post conniption was about subjectifying women. I was never clear whether she was accusing you of ruling over the fairer sex like some sort of small-scale tyrant or was expressing a fear of your engaging in a meaningful dialog about them, but the objectification of women was a subject which remained unbroached by her.
It reminded me of a friend in college who railed constantly about the "repression of gays" until I couldn't take it anymore and pointed out that he was working his way through school as a drag queen and had been kicked out of the library on multiple occasions for making out in the stacks with his boyfriend, and that the only way he was repressed was if he was trying to tell me he was a closet heterosexual.
:shrug: When it comes to the people who can't even be bothered to learn the definitions of the words they are using to condemn the way other people express themselves, there is really no possible way to "win" in a discussion of their chosen field of hate. Not really a way to "break even"--they know what you mean even if you didn't mean that, and "you know what they mean" even if they are incapable of explaining it.
From a purely objective examination of the exchange, it looked to me that the video pushed a couple of her buttons and you happened to wander into her field of fire...
Topic for the day -- am I a misogynist in any way? Do I objectify women? I make jokes about stuff but y'all know I'm not serious, right? A woman at Nu-Vapor hates me now, there was a semi-tasteless video that I poked fun with and she thought me serious, I feel badly that I somehow made an enemy.....

I usually just use the "settings" page. All the most current threads that I've ever posted in are there in order of their latest posts. You are automatically "subscribed" to any thread you post in. Try it, it could even be tolerable!

My Posts is working for me again so is back to where it was recently, not the way it was last week but usable.......I detest change, hard to believe there, huh?
