My Daughter and Grand daughter both have asthema. I vape right next to them when we are having movie night. Neither of them have ever had an asthema attack or even complained that they were having a hard time breathing. I do not vape nic juice anymore, I weined myself off the nicotine completely. Actually, my grand daughter will stick her face right in the middle of my cloud of vapor because she loves the smell of it. I think you co worker is just trying to get some time off and using you as a scape goat.

I tend to agree with an earlier post, your co worker was trying to use you for an excuse to take the day off. And also, this is a battle you will not win at work (unfortunately)

Time to 'pull up' some MSDSs!

Or ya could Pine Sol her desk and chair each time she leaves...

Before I quit smoking I had co-workers that complained because my clothes smelled like smoke and they could smell that in their cubicle (downstream towards the A/C intake plenum).
So I collected some 'ciggy butts' and wet them down and put them in a empty jar, and opened whenever they complained.

It was my personal air freshener.

Honestly, I would have your boss read this thread, and then accept whatever decision he makes.

Giving him a bunch of information about electronic cigarette vapor isn't going to change his mind...
But understanding that she is most likely lying might change his mind.

I'd say she screwed you over in retaliation for the candle.

I had a coworker that didn't particularly like the smell of one of my liquids. She didn't say anything until one day when I was vaping with her standing right there, and apparently I was the smell that was bothering her sinuses. I explained what was in it and turns out she has a sensitivity to certain flavorings... just makes her nose itch and sneeze. I changed flavors I vape at work, because there are certain things that bother my sinuses as well. Anyone with a floral candle, depending on what they used in the scent can have be sneezing all day. Technically, I could have kept vaping it, but I didn't want to rock the boat, and it made her day that I was willing to say "hey, if you're sensitive to this, I have a whole bag of flavors and I'll just use something you like". Now I'm vaping my face off, and she thinks my peach and sweet tea flavors smell fantastic.

Vaping is actually much better for my asthma, but some flavorings will bother it. I'd ask if there's anything she's particularly sensitive to that she knows of, and if you're not vaping that, then I'd call BS.

At least I had enough respect to tell her that the candle burning in her office was setting off my allergies! Just expected a little more professionalism and respect.

Didn't you have a thread on this the last time?

Do some internet research on the pollution that comes from candles.
That is going to be my defense if someone complains at Christmas.

I also agree with getting with her to figure out a flavor/brand you can vape. If there is none (including no flavor) she's has mental issues and you don't have to humor her.

Have you every watched "The Office?" (the American version)

Pull some of the same pranks Jim pulls on Dwight K. Schrute on your co-worker. heh! Some notable pranks pulled by Jim on Dwight:

1. Put her stapler in Jello.
2. Get one of her desk drawers to stick 1/4 of the way, so that she will be able to see the contents of the drawer, but will be unable to get any of them.
3. Throw her cell phone into the ceiling and then call her cell phone every 15 to 30 minutes. (OK, this one wasn't pulled on Dwight, but rather on Andy Bernard, but it's still funny! :D LOL!)
