Well you started with the store thing so here's my store thing. The store I use has a policy that if an item is marked wrong it's free but it only works for some of the checkers. I don't mind paying but never know what to expect. The other one is you see an item and right under it is the price of $3.00 but when you go to check out you find it's $15.00 so you show them the sign and they tell you that the sign is for something 3 shelves up or the little teeny code that is written on the sign has 2 numbers different out of 20 numbers and your told that product is down 2 steps to the left. I quit shopping at Safeway because they're famous for doing it and it's embarrassing at the check-stand.

buy 1, get one free! (ask at checkout, the purchase of two isn't required to get the reduced price)
10 for $10 ... good grief! Same deal, they're a buck apiece. No need to buy 10 packs of hotdogs.
Sometimes they make it real complicated, like "3 for $5.00" ... because our feeble minds can't figure out that the item is $1.67 each, and if we buy 3 of them we'll save a penny.

Store membership cards:
Clerk, "you saved $x.xx today! :) ".
Me, "No, I avoided paying $x.xx in overpriced goods. :("

I remember the VERY day my neighborhood grocery introduced the damned 'bonus' cards, I mean THAT day, they raised the prices on everything so they could give the discounted price. If it's not your regular store and you don't have the time nor the inclination to put in an application and get a card at checkout ... tough, you're going to get ripped off bub.
I'm guessing that somehow it benefits the store to keep track of your purchases? Why the hell do they have any interest in my personal shopping habits? Do they care that the information I provided is fabricated? Hi, my name is Carl Sagan, I live at 123 Skyline Blvd. Phone number is 555-1234. Sheesh.

I am so tired of hearing people who have never paid more than $20 for a prescription whine and complain about the cost of their health insurance! Who do you think paid the other $250 for that one prescription you get every month?!?! Whine and complain about the cost of the prescriptions! And the cost of your doctor visit was $195- not the $25 you paid! File your compaints where they belong!
I feel better, thanks.

Frankly, I'm not concerned with how others perceive me. There was a time when I was, but people who want to take the time to know me personally know that I am a very warm and caring individual. I'm sorry that I don't use your approved vocabulary. People who rush to judgement about me, frankly I just don't have time for.

There's no approved vocabulary by me and no one is rushing to judgment. When words take on meanings that are bigoted it's because of the way they're used in society and the meaning intended. Like I said, it's your choice to use them that way or not.

I have to agree with you firefox people seem to lay in wait to be offended by ANYTHING and everything.

It is sad that we have laws about semantics. That is what happens when people keep voting in judges who award frivolous lawsuits. I think those judges faces should be plastered on TV every day stating what they awarded. And include the lawyers that take on those type of cases.

Okay...so I went shopping for work clothes yesterday and spent about 200 dollars. (where I work is business professional and I haven't bought work clothes since this time last year)

So this morning I get my first ticket and what was I doing in my brand new clothes??? Crawling around on the floor......UGH...I wish they would just give IT uniforms like they do all the other groups that end up crawling around on the floor.

K...I almost feel better now...

Also...I got pulled over last week and got a ticket because some jerk cut me off and to avoid him I chose the onramp (the left lane was packed). Since school started back up I swear I have at least one jackoff cut me off every morning...damn Philly traffic.

@THE: The simple fact of the matter is, I live in an area which is infamous for its wider than norm gap between the wealthy and the masses. If someone is making $xx/hour here, they can move almost anywhere else (including 100 miles down the road) and increase their income to at least 1.5X$XX/hour doing the exact same thing with the exact degree of skill and experience. But, it's a trap. Because your income is so substandard, it is difficult to set aside the funds to actually make that move ... i.e., to escape. There are lots of well-to-do folks here, and they squeak when they walk. I have plans to escape. But, it is much more of a challenge now than it was when I was young and could just pick up and leave, empty handed, on an adventure.

Anyway, I have over 20 years under my belt in my profession. I am perfectly aware that the same exact job, with my qualifications, pays double what I'm making ... almost everywhere else. I failed to mention that every employee of the company got the same pay reduction. Perhaps if you thought I had been singled out, maybe that's why you felt you had to question my worth.

I wasn't questioning your worth.. rather, I was telling you to know what you're worth and demand it. I know what kind of town you live in. Here, a good friend of mine is making $13/hr for a 60k++ position. I also understand about the tight ... "rich people". Greedy ...... who are always miserable.

That's what THIS town has. Miserable negative poor people. Miserable negative people who look wealthy. And real wealthy people who don't mix with the locals. LoL.

If we manage our credit properly, there is no reason one cannot fund an escape ... even low paid people .. But I'm the king of backing myself into corners, so I can't fault you a bit for that.

OK. So, yesterday afternoon around 3:30pm, I went outside for a CIGARETTE. Yes, I admit it.
I am bismokual. Anyway, it was misting, so I strolled to the car and sat inside to have the
smoke. Windows down. Doesn't this woman walk by - hand over nose and mouth - and start
coughing and gagging. And not REAL coughing and gagging... but that FAKE coughing and
gagging. As smokers, we've all seen/heard it.

OK, so over the years:
...unable to smoke in my office
...close the cafeteria smoking area
...close the dedicated smoking rooms
...make the rule we have to be 30+ feet from any entrance

And, now, even in my OWN CAR... away from the entrance... across the street...
four of five rows deep in the parking lot... I get that fake coughing and gagging.

i wanted to re-enact the fire extinguisher scene from "Irreversible" on her. I'll
giver her something to cough and gag on. Like teeth and shattered septum bone.

I never made it beyond 10 minutes after that scene. Which if I remember was right at the beginning. Either way, great visual for how ticked it made you I would have been to.

In the bank...9 people in line, a really busy day. Customer at window has 5 or 6 deposits and has to use counter deposit slips...fills each one out AFTER you do the previous deposit !! (oh, and one more...oh, and one more....)
And today is Friday...guess what the worst day of the week is for that !

How about these food stamp wielding cart filling illiterate piles of junk who see you standing there with a dollar and a can of breath mints and just go right ahead?

I let idiots go ahead of me all of the time. Especially in a case like that. Common decency. Not with those ......!!
