Hi does anybody know the effects vaping may have on condensation in the home. Me and my son can often get through 30ml a day. Is this enough to effect condensation. I've read a family can produce litres of moisture through breathing, cooking etc but when we're both using rda's and subtanks it does look like a hell of a lot of moisture/vapour. Any info much appreciated Adam.

USA. State: Inebriated.
Eh. In the colder months I've noticed it's more prevalent.

It's less condensation and more the e-juice returning to its natural glycerin state, which manifests into a sort of foggy-film on glass/windows. If you vape with the windows closed when it's cold outside, it'll really be noticeable. I haven't read any reports about it damaging electronics, although over a long enough time it does seem like a possibility.

And just as an aside, I used to vape about 15mL a day myself, but I've since increased nic levels and decreased the amount I vape. Might be worth looking into doing the same if you're picking up the vape every 5 seconds.

Cheers for response, yeah I do seem to pick up to vape every 5 secs, i tend to do this whatever the nic tho :-(

lol no idea what humidity we have in Manchester (UK) we do get condensation in winter tho. No problem with windows open in summer but since closing windows for winter my house looks like a sauna :-(

I live in the desert.
Southern California.
It's super dry here always. It gets up to 120 degrees F (48.8 C) in the summer.

Not sure if you mean humidity or condensation Adam. I really doubt the humidity in a house would be affected by vaping. Look at a 30 ml bottle of juice and think about what difference that would make if it's vaporized in the house over the course of one day. My humidifier can go though 3-4 gallons of water per day in the winter just to keep the humidity at a comfortable level. I suspect vaping, breathing, cooking and hot showers don't get close to competing with that :)

Condensation on windows in the house is another thing entirely. Same with car windows if you vape there. I clean the windows in rooms that I vape in almost weekly in the winter because of the film that condenses on them. I've recently changed my mixes to 90% PG so will see if that makes any difference as the weather gets colder here.

I installed a HRV (Fresh air exchanger) back when I was smoking in the house. I did not put mine in the traditional places of moisture. Instead I have intake in living room, bedroom and the dogs room. Pays sometimes when you own your own mechanical company. LOL No moisture problem in my house from vaping. CHEERS!

I just changed the filter on my a/c system - it was literally dripping with what seemed to be VG...

There is a thin film on everything in my house!

At least there are no tar stains like there would have been if I was smoking (except I always smoked outside) - but if I had more willpower I'd vape outside:p

Is this all high VG liquids? I vape 70/30 PG/VG and have never noticed a film on anything. Even on car windshields in the Northern states during the winter.
I vape outside Or the garage in winter. That vapors gotta go somewhere, and it's not my house or Hvac ducts :D I do tootle puff 70pg-30vg so not huge vapor, so sometimes vape in the bathroom with the vent fan on when shaving. Wonder if vg is flammable? :p

Yes, 80% VG, and I vape around 30 mls a day at home. The Crown is a big offender, because it puts out such big clouds....but any subohm tank makes much more vapor than the little Tritons I started with! I don't vape much in my car, so it's not an issue there - and I often take my egrips out and about, and vapor isn't something to worry about with those!

It does concern me - I wonder what it's doing to my paint, let alone the furniture and things that are harder to clean. I have glossy laminate floors, and they get slippery very quickly now.

I did try putting an air purifier in the area I tend to vape the most, but the blades got totally gunked up after a day...

However, after smoking for 40-years, I should reiterate I'm not concerned about my health one bit now that I'm vaping:p

I also suspect it's mostly the VG that condenses on cold windows. It will be interesting to see if my change to almost all PG will reduce that this winter. So far I think it does, but it's too early to be sure yet.
