I usuallly use the mouth end if I refilling a cart, the Battery end when I am filling a blank one or empty one. No particular reason, they both seem to work the same. Just on blanks or refilling empties I use the Tarin spin. So I pop the mouth piece rubber cap off to see where the juice is at. where I normally don't when Im just adding juice

I've used both methods. These days I always take the white cap off and use the mouth end. As soon as I see Juice at the battery end hole I stop and pull it back slightly. If it is a fresh blank I will then put a condom on the battery end and spin it(leaving the condom with juice on the mouth end). Then I'll repeat the procedure with another 1/2 cap of juice.

I fill from the battery end with the white tip off. When I use the condom method I can see when the juice overflows. Keeping in mind that the juice is actually coming up through the hole then spilling out into the filler material. IMO I believe the material surround the center is more dense therefore not absorbing as much liquid as possible. When the liquid overfills and spills out of the center hole I wait a few seconds then top it off by tipping it to 45 degrees then topping it off by dripping into the carto. That way I'm assured it's fully absorbed into the filler material.

I'm with Keyz; I gave up condo-cap fill method a long time ago. It's just so easy to remove the white rubber mouthpiece and drip into the filler at an angle as you rotate the cart. This works great for the clearer / thinner juices, but you might want to use a syringe for the thicker solutions including the newer VG line per V4L recommendation.

When I first started I used the condom method and always filled from the draw side until juice was present at the battery hole.

What a mess and waste of juice! Like Jam & Keyzy, I simply disperse 4 drops equally on the top of the fill, then hold the carto at a 70% degree angle in a fixed position. I add 3 drops at a time allowing them to run down the side of the Carto wall and be absorbed by the fill. I repeat this 4-6 times depending on whether the carto is a new blank or used.

The draw tube inside the carto is about 5/16th in length creating what I term a bunt cake pan or cup type bottom. Moisture will always draw to moisture and the fill becomes evenly moistened. I almost never spill a drop, the draw tube stays dry, my fingers stay clean along with my batteries. Seems the only time I spill is if I have a bottle that leaks a little under the dropper.

i started filling from the battery end (since the youtube video i watched said to do it that way). i do get better results removing the rubber cap on top and dripping it around and around while holding the cart at 75 degree angle or so.

even though this produces *better* results...i still don't think i get good results since the prefilled carts i buy last WAY longer and taste better to me. guess i'm just no good at filling ; (

Before I got a syringe I used the battery end with the cap off to watch the juice didn't over flow. Reason: By using the battery end I'm filling from the bottom up, but mainly if using the mouth end first there's a big pocket of air between the cap and the matting that doesn't get used, leaving too much unused access juice.

I fill from the mouth end, then shake it down with my hand... Kind of a half taryn spin.. Then when it's full, I twist up a thin strip of paper towel to use like a plug in the bottom. Put it aside, while I fill a the rest, and by the time I'm done I pull them all out throw them away and they're completely full and ready to use right away. No leaks either, the paper towel strips soak up just enough juice out of the center...
Takes 10 minutes of my day to fill 10 and have enough for 2 days. I always wondered if anyone else filled this way?

I am currently filling from the battery end with the cap off and I can even manage to overfill them too. I tend to get greedy after I taryn spin a carto and filling the carto with the second set of drops. I've identified the problem anyway so now I understand why filling from the mouthpiece was so problematic for me. I could not see what I was doing and I overfilled a few cartos. I took the white cap off and still overfilled some cartos.

I am now better able to tell when the filler is saturated versus soaked. If I don't feel like popping the cap off, I may occasionally fill it from the mouthpiece end, but then I have two ends to wipe. To sit and fill more than one carto at a time, I'd rather pop off the caps, fill from battery end, spin, fill again, and wipe less.
My tissue consumption is higher when filling from the mouthpiece end! :p

I have to get syringes! I think keeping the center tube dry could be the key to a longer lasting cartomizer and certainly less waste.
