I did it yesterday and already got my canned statement back from Durbin with his standard talking points. Have not heard back from Lipinski yet but will be calling his office as he is facing a few people in a primary, telling him (most likely a staffer) on phone how his vote on this will effect my vote might work. It was a tight primary for him last time around.

Can't believe it, actually get a personal message from my Senator in North Carolina (Thom Tillis).

While I don't know for sure if he's feeding me a line of BS, one part of his email was correct, the government knows the 'vaping deaths & injuries' has more to do with THC delivery systems vs those of us whom uses 'open tank' systems. Here's part of the email as was sent to me.

A number of youth tobacco prevention measures have been put into place under President Trump’s Administration, and I think it would be valuable to provide sufficient time to monitor the effectiveness of those efforts. I have personally spoken to President Trump about this issue and will continue to closely monitor the Administration’s actions pertaining to vapor products and youth nicotine use.
Another unrelated issue pertaining to vapor products has recently garnered national attention. There has been an alarming rise in vapor related lung disease and death. It is important to note that the illnesses and deaths are believed to be linked to the use of vapor products containing tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). THC is a derivative of marijuana with psychoactive characteristics. Scientists from HHS and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) have been actively researching the specific, scientific cause of these deaths. Please know that I will continue working to ensure that these agencies are fully equipped with the resources necessary to find the common thread that links these deaths.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact me. Please do not hesitate to contact me again about other important issues.

Going by this, it does appear that the government knows the truth, that this didn't make such headlines until these THC pods (many from black market) became popular. Those whom uses these devices should consider another delivery system, be it traditional (there's also dry herb vaping devices), gummies & other edibles, whatever needed to get away from the pod system.

I've seen where some actually refills these with e-juices, although can be reused a limited number of times.

Given the large black market of these pods, it needs to be made clear to purchase at authorized retailers & not from street vendors. This has been the problem & many responded with a knee jerk, blaming honest folks like us for the actions of illicit sales. Even with vape pods (e-juice filled), I've read there's ways to tell fake branded JUUL, such as being 'too clear' and upon inspection, tampering (to refill).

While I didn't get the exact response was anticipating, evidently enough of us participated to show our government it's not the fault of us using traditional vaping hardware (ego & open tank devices).

We have to keep standing up to our government. The US House & Senate (Congress) all elected to work for the people, not against.

Now I'll have to get the freezer jars as was suggested by @G & C a couple of 32 oz Boston round jars to put the extra 100mg nic (have a sealed jug already) to freeze, due to the fear products may not ship. Also stocked up on two flavors, they'll be OK, as I vape a lot, just don't use much nic.:)

NATIONAL: (CALL TO ACTION UPDATED!) HR 2339 (flavor ban) was voted forward to a full vote TOMORROW at 9 AM (ET). Now includes a TAX (HR 4742) on #vaping products much HIGHER than federal tax on cigarettes! Even more ridiculous, because the flavor ban = nothing left to tax! Keep contacting your representatives!

Vaping Prohibition is On the Table in Congress!
