This time, politicians want to give the FDA jurisdiction to regulate synthetic (non-tobacco derived) nicotine the same way as regular nicotine. You may think this is not a big deal, but they will give manufacturers just 90 days to submit a PMTA. Those of you who have kept informed of the PMTA process will know that the FDA requires 6 months of scientific data in order to even consider it, so it is simply another attempt at a de facto ban on life-saving products.
