Or it could just be common sense that a disposable single-use item not meant to be refilled is disposable and not meant to be refilled.

Every refill from them is "cheating" and a "bonus".

There is no quality control issue in a disposable cartomizer being disposable. Hence "disposable".

Have you noticed the horrendous quality control issue with traditional cigarettes? Once you smoke them down to the .... they don't magically regrow to their original state. You have to [GASP!] throw them away.

The fact that you can refill cartomizers AT ALL tells you just how good the quality control IS. That they are so overbuilt that the vast majority can take a beating [refilling/reuse] 10, 20, 50++ times. For a DISPOSABLE single-use device, that's amazing longevity.

Naw, the failing here isn't with the cartomizer.

What exactly is the issue in understanding here???
Main Entry: 1dis·pos·able
Pronunciation: \di-ˈspō-zə-bəl\
Function: adjective
Date: 1643
1 : subject to or available for disposal; specifically : remaining to an individual after deduction of taxes and necessary living expenses <disposable income>
2 : designed to be used once and then thrown away <disposable diapers>

The fact that they work JUST the first time means they have served their purpose.

Why is there negativity coming from a product that made us STOP SMOKING??? I know, you want your cake and want to eat it also...I do too, and the fact that you get to refill a carto even once means you've eaten your cake...twice

I concur. Let's just get a few of these out of the way:

CAUTION:

Do not feed to fish.
Keep out of reach of Children.
Do not use while sleeping or unconscious.
Do you spray into eyes.
Not to be used as a safety protective device
May or may not be reusable
Do not eat or drink.
May irritate eyes
May contain small parts
Do not climb inside the baggie that the cartomizers ship in and tape it shut.
Do not put unattached cap in mouth
Product may get hot after heating
Do not turn upside down.
Choking hazard.
Not for human consumption.
May be harmful if swallowed.
Do not throw at coworkers
Warning: forum may contain nuts
Do not use rectally
Not dishwasher safe
These are not underwear! Do not attempt to put in pants.
Not effective for use while sumo wrestling
Misuse may cause injury or death!

There's a start. Now I just need to figure out how I print it on a cartomizer.

Ok I think we need to step back a second and say that carts are not consistent, and they are not supposed to be. I have had only 2 carts that were bad that were in a pack, so I think that the average is pretty good for "disposable" items. Have you ever tested "disposable" batteries? Duracell batteries and Energizers fluctuate severely in consistency, but we just accept this. If you think about it, cars fluctuate serverely in consistency also, including the ones made here in the US. Which is why they had to make the Lemon Law.

I think we have gotten to the point where we think everything should be great everytime and if it isn't we are going to gripe and moan and think that the did it to ME personally, where in reality, they do not want to make an inferior product to someone else, but they also do not want to make a product that is going to cost 2x the cost of the competition and never be able to sell anything.

To the OP, I know that all you wanted to hear was that they are inconsistent, but as you can tell, you have already figured that our for yourself. And there have been post after post after post talking about this. Just do a search for it.
