In my testing, it has varied by up to 80% based on claimed concentration .. liquid from different vendors

and, up to 50% from liquid purchased from the same vendor on different orders ..

I have never tested any liquid that came within +/- 20% of the claimed nic content .. all tests have shown a greater variation ..

This is one of the reasons I firmly believe in Industry standards and some sort of Industry standardization policy ..

I'll add a final note .. I'm usually not that .... when it comes to things .. however, having had a heart attack that really prompted quiting the analogs, (not immediately, whole other story) .. I was concerned about nic content since nic constricts your circulatory system .. and my Doctor, although happy I am using a PV, was a bit concerned about the nic content .. so, I bought a test kit ..

Glad to see this thread, I thought it was just me. When I first started vaping, I bought an ecig that had the preloaded cartos and the 18mg would knock me on my .... if I chained them too much. Don't get the same effect with the juices I'm getting now. I also find that sometimes I get an amazing TH and next day with the same juice, nothing. Its very confusing.

I wondered about consistency and quality control especially with the vendors that seem to be super busy all the time. Do they hire temp help and how do we know if the temps are getting the recipes right?

Yes, industry standards and regulations are a good thing. I think what scares most of us Canucks is the Guv-ment taxing the juice and making it just as expensive, if not more, than smoking. Or something ludicrous like a 9mg/mL maximum.

I know I know... it's shocking to see someone not trust their government.

It might just be a good idea for some people to be able to test the amount of Nic they are getting. It's not that bigof a dealif you are vaping 9mg and getting 12mg but vaping the higher amounts it might be good to know.

Out of curiosity? Did you find it more likely to have lower amounts of nic or higher amounts then listed?

Our friends to the North are not exclusive in this thinking .. I myself don't mind paying as long as I can be assured it's a much safer / healthier alternative to analogs .. we're going to get taxed at some point, I'm sure, here in the USA ..

i had a drunk night at the bar tis sat and while drunk i decided to buy a tin of skoal berry it was like 21$
i bought some last year and i only remember it being maybe 12$
im just afraid of this happening with regulation i dont want to pay 80-90 $ for 30 ml of juice like a carton of smokes and thats where i think it would go
im wondering where i can get this kit that oldwillie is using

That's a pretty cheap and easy way of finding out the nic content. As for the amounts you discovered, why am I not surprised it was less although I think the one that was 50% less was terrible. The others I could see happening from mixing inconsistencies or as others have mentioned, aging. 50% though would suggest either a labeling mix up or ....

Concat, there are a lot of us Yanks who are just as nervous about our gummint as you are of yours.

All the more reason to stockpile nic-liquid and DIY.

Just curious about how well the nicotine mixes. Have you done a test from say a 30ml bottle or larger of the bottom content of the bottle (if it's been sitting for a while) and the top bottle? Does this make sense?

ie: stick the syringe to the bottom, extract some juice test it and then take some from the top and test it.

I bought one of the testing kits off ebay. It has been great to test my mixing of unflavored nic concentrations. But the instructions I received with the kit does not apply to flavored juice. Some of the ingredients in the flavorings will through off the results, or at least that is what I understand from the instructions.

Anybody else getting a "Unfortunately, access to this particular listing or item has been blocked due to a Paris commercial court decision..." message when trying to view the listing?

Hmmm nope. The location is in the US too... Does Ebay think Quebec is governed by France or something?
