Constant dry hits with wet wicks

So I recently gotten the alliance v2 together with the snowwolf mini.

I have tried everything I can but nothing seems to work. Lesser wick, more wick, bigger coils, spaced coils, Scottish roll etc. I can't seem to find a solution to this. I have also checked for hot spots. Right now it has a spaced coil build in it as it seems to work better compared to the other builds I have.

Dry hits usually come after 8-9 puffs and the wicks are mostly still wet, and it will only get wetter if I continue to drip it.

I really don't know what I am doing wrong here. My old rda clone+dna30 works fine regardless of the build.

Any help on this is much appreciated as this is really bothering me. Thanks.

Oh and I am using 26 gauge kanthal with organic cotton.

Sounds like not enough wicking material but you have tried more. The only other thing it sounds like is some kind of short or a connection issue. Are you running in wattage mode? I had this happen on a mod that had a connection issue which was making my resistance wonky. It must have been reading a higher resistance thus increasing the wattage to accommodate. In the end, that extra power was too much for the build. What resistance? Wattage? Single coil?

True, compared to some others that have it worst. But I used to be able to get more on my other rda with the same amount of drips oddly.
Did you have the exact same build? If yes I can only think that it has something to do with airflow/juice well or you may have been using a different mod which offered more or less power at the same setting

Oh you mean you drip, then take 8 or 9 pulls, then you get dry hits before dripping again? If so then you simply have run out of juice... I thought you were getting dry hits with a sort of full cup

Same exact build and have tried both 26 and 32(i think?) ga kanthal. By juice well, do you mean a deeper one? There is a noticeable difference as the alliance v2 is deeper, but I made sure that the wicks are touching the bottom of the juice well.

Yes, but the wicks were still wet. There is a different burnt taste as compared to a dry cotton hit.

Yes deeper so you would have more juice from a redrip

Sounds like your pretty well knowledgeable so I can only think 8/9 pulls on that rda with that juice and coil setup is good

How high are your coils? Maybe the central part of your coil is drying up quicker than the visible wick
The central part of the coil is kinda wet, definitely not dry by any means. I also tried adjusting the coils higher and lower but didn't find any noticeable difference. So i left it right where the post are. It seems that the center of the coils is somehow cooking the juice?

How does it perform at a lower wattage setting? Maybe turn it down a tad

Anything lower than 18 watts makes the ramp up time slow. But even so, it still cooks the coils which surprises me. It slowly loses its taste and that weird dry hit comes in. Oh man, at this point i am just about to give up and get a new rda.

Do you have another mod? I know it sounds weird, but if the other mod performs the same, at least you know it's the tank. Like I mentioned before, it is possible that the mod is throwing much more power into the coil then you think in short bursts.

Will try that as soon as I get hold of my other mod. Thanks.
