If that Rosenthal woman was as stupid in 2009/2010 as this year (and I guess she must be because I seriously doubt that during time she turned from clever to stupid, usually it's the other way round) I like to nominate her. Oh, and that Ray-guy. Yes, I'm from the Netherlands so I don't have a right to say anything about this, but I despise @ssholes on a universal scale.

Ah, in that case I would like to know what the prizes are. I might nominate myself. It's been four days since I won something, and it's kind of addictive.

FDA bans winning, as it may lead to addiction. Think of the children! W e don't want them seeing addictive behavior!

Um, guys, that's John F. Banzhaf III. :rules:

If you want to misspell his name, it should be "John F. Banz:censored: III"

You need to show the proper respect for and appreciation of his accomplishments. His arm is getting tired. :pervy:

John F. Banzhaf III - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This write-up sounds as if the man himself authored the first part and other folks authored the rest. I took the liberty of editing one of his self-congratulatory statements.

"He is noted for his advocacy of, and use of, lawsuits as a method to promote the public interest punish anyone with whom he disagrees."

I loved this part near the end:

Reason, a libertarian magazine, gives Banzhaf much critical attention. For example, in a 2002 article, Charles Paul Freund wrote that Banzhaf did not win any victories over the tobacco companies, that he specializes in "using the courts to hurt relatively powerless people," and that the issue for Banzhaf is "the terrifying possibility that somewhere there are people enjoying themselves."

I was wandering through the living room earlier and "Kids Teen News" or whatever was on. I naturally wasn't really paying attention, but they were asking kids what they thought the #1 killer of teens was. I'd like to submit for honorable mention the kids, and parents of said kids, who replied that "smoking" was the #1 killer of teens! (Groan). Have they really been that brainwashed?

Sadly, yes they have.

How about that poor teen-age kid who started crying after the public hearing because his elders had convinced him that kids were definitely going to die if flavored tobacco products were not banned. They had him scared to death; and that, in my book, is a form of child abuse.

John F. "Bonzai" III certainly deserves consideration, but I have my own doddering old fool
of a ....-head to nominate.

The right Dis-Honorable Senator Frank R. "Lousenburg" of New Jersey for his interest and drivel put forth here:

http://lautenberg.senate.gov/assets/hamburg.pdf

Goading of the FDA in it's headlong rush to save the big pharma "cures", Sen. "Lousenberg"
was the first to call on the FDA to protect the public from potential dangers of e-cigarettes.

We have to SAVE THE CHILDREN !!!.
It's the main rallying cry to pass any sort of restrictive, insane legislation here in
corrupt to the core NJ.

John F. Banzall III deserves at least the nomination. Also because he had a great role in the Paypal policy not to allow sales for e-cigs in the USA, isn't it?

Yes, he bragged about that. He also bragged about sending letters to all 50 Attorneys General telling them it is illegal to sell electronic cigarettes in the U.S. Shortly thereafter, the AGs of California and of Oregon filed charges against Smoking Everywhere and NJOY accusing them of making false claims about their products. If you read the settlement agreements from both states, you will find the wording is nearly identical. So I, for one, believe that JB did send the letters to the states and that two of the dumbest and biggest political hacks decided to see if they could get some mileage out of it.

NOTE: Isn't it strange that of hundreds of companies selling e-cigarettes, the only two companies singled out for action by these AGs were the same two that the FDA singled out for product testing.... and by sheer coincidence, I'm sure, these two companies just HAPPENED to be the same two companies that filed a lawsuit against the FDA.
