Hey Gang:

I'm looking to start a contest but want to be creative and need some ideas.

I figure I will offer 3 levels of prizes for the contest.

Give some suggestions, and ideas so I can start it up.

The person with the best suggestion for my upcoming contest will win 1 (30ML) bottle of ejuice and 1 (4 ML) Glass sampler bottle of my new blend P51.

I really want to get a good contest with plenty of cool ideas.

Jerry,
I love a good, strong tobacco flavor in a 70/30 or 50/50 pg/VG blend. I'd love to find an excellent vanilla flavor, and a tobacco/vanilla blend. I also like cinnamon: hot, sweet cinnamon.

As for e-cig models: an eGo/Tornado/Riva in the 900 or 1000 mah version is hard to beat. As for mods, I have a Precise p18 and it is perfect. It allows 3.7 or 6 volt vaping and it's beautiful. It's also mechanical, which I find a plus (less stuff to break and/or go wrong). To me, any mod with a battery less than an 18650 is going to necessitate constantly charging and changing batteries, and I prefer to load an 18650, use it all day, and swap out another one the next day. I definitely have no interest in a mod that requires a proprietary atty.

Hope this helps.

Some ideas to bring folks to your website and with the contest. Ask them questions related to what products you sell. This could be a few or many depending on what you can come up with. (They would have to go to your website and check out your products.) You could also say the first 59, 90, and or 234 person posting correctly will win a prize. Considering you have 3 prizes you may want to use the entire 300 posts for the thread.

Sir:

Thank you so much for taking to the time out to respond. I have finally caught up with a ton of side projects and want to ramp up my line.

In regards to Ecigs, I'm leaning heavily on the eGo, and Riva. The only problem is that there is a ton of counterfit stuff out there and I want the best for my customers. Plus I don't want to sell sub par products with limited reliablilty.

What is your favorite Atty? I'm going to assume the 510.

However if you know me well enough I'm a die hard fan of the 901. Heck the 901LR are awesome. I honestly feel that you get more flavor from the 901 vs the 510.

I had some surgery on a couple of days ago but if you want to meet up sometime this week let me know. I have some stuff for you to try out.

Thanks again for the great suggestions.

SDH,

That seems like a great idea. I always have a hard time deciding on contest winners so maybe you are right about the post numbers and correct info. Thank you for the great idea.

FYI, I will take suggestions for the next 5 days. After that I will start the contest. The best suggestion from this thread will be given a the ejuice prize mentioned in my first post.

Well, I always love the partial picture and scavenger hunt contests -- I never win anything but I love to play!!!!:)

I think if you do random number you should make each post give an item on your website; also, you could make one of your yummy flavors to be the prize winning post, every entrant would have to post a flavor obviously -- you could have size also to extend the pool of entries..........:vapor::vapor::vapor:

Aha!! It's all coming back to me now... When I first went to your website, I noticed that you were looking for a better description for your Vanilla juice, but I guess the one I sent in wasn't good enough, even though it was pretty much taken directly from the Book of Spices as I recall... LOL!!

Although I have not tried your Vanilla, I agree with bigbloom about trying to find a really good one, as in a true vanilla bean, since most of them seem to taste like cake frosting or imitation flavoring. I have also had a hard time finding a deep, rich Chocolate... I like that you have all single flavors, because that is the true test of a juice, and is all I really get because I like to mix my own concoctions... Ha!!

Anyway, I have entered (and won) a fair amount of contests here on the ECF, and what I have found is that the ones that are the most fun are not necessarily the most beneficial to the supplier as far as generating more customers and/or traffic to their website.

Ripple suggested having people go to the site and pick a flavor, but I might even go a little bit further and have them pick 3, since you offer sample sizes, and the prizes could be that they would get those flavors. That way you would get a better idea of what kind of flavors people like, and they would also get to sample more of them, rather than just giving out one big bottle. or you could do the same with 2 15ml bottles... You could choose the 3 winners by Random Number Generator, which would level the playing field, and make it easier for you as well.

As far as what brands or mods to carry... it all depends on the type of customer you are aiming for. Whether you want to offer kits for a newbie who is just starting out, or something more advanced for the seasoned veteran. I started out with a Joye510 kit, but for 3 of my friends that I helped to make the switch to e-cigs, I recommended a KR808 because of the ease of using cartos instead of the atty/cart combo and longer batt charge life... and 1 of them didn't really want to be bothered filling the cartos and there are plenty of pre-filled available.

I also have a VGO 900 which uses all of my 510 stuff, and as far as the 901s go, the Rivas come in both 510 and 901 connections, so those might be a safe bet... plus you could always carry adapters, too. Start small and you can always add more stock later as the demands grow...

Hope that helps, and I can't wait to see what you come up with!! :vapor:

I think I understand your contest idea but could you elaborate a little more.

I'm not trying to drive traffic to my website. I just want to give back to the community, and those in need.

I really like your idea. As I mentioned I don't need website traffic just for a contest. I just want to give back to the community and have some fun.

I like fruit juice flavors that are clean, crisp and bright. Peach, Raspberry and a Raspberry/Blackberry combo along with a Chocolate Raspberry for a dessert type vape.

For PV's I have the Riva 510's and a 510 5V mod one of the local guys makes. I would like a variable volt one to try someday, maybe next year. I use LR cartomizers on the Riva and regular on the 5V as I like that they last longer than the carts and I have to fill them less often. I do use a drip tip to make topping them off easier though.

For contests... could be a quote of the day, or just a random number generated that matches the post number of a member. Scavenger hunts have been mentioned and they are always fun. Be it something on your website, or something that's been posted in your forum here...like the first time xxx juice was offered..

Jerry,

I like 901s but switched to 510s when the eGo came out. Spacekitty's suggestion is a good one: Carry the RiVas in both 510 and 901 versions, with LR attys available.

RIVA or EGO....I'm leaning more towards the Joye Ego instead of a knock off. However there are some nice knock offs that are a fraction of the price which means the savings get passed on to the customer.

Plus the RiVas come in the 901 platform. Honestly, I bought both Joye 510 eGos and RiVa 510s and I couldn't tell a difference in performance.

I need to play with a Riva just to make sure it will meet up to Ecig community standards. Ego is branded pretty well and people know the name. So is Riva.

FYI, bomber juice is almost ready for the masses.

DUDE...I got you covered big time on this one. I'm glad you liked the first batch. I'm waiting on some glass stuff and should be good to go. Labels are all done and I will be introducing 2-3 flavors to start off.

Jerry,

Let's meet. My phone took a dive two weeks ago so I lost all my numbers. If you still have mine, give me a call. If you don't, PM me and we can find a time and place to meet.
