Exactly! Probably why I thought I was so cool driving a truck. Girls didn't drive trucks back then. Fast forward 23 years, I still drive a truck. ;)

First car was a 84 Lincoln Continental Mark VII.... My Dad bought it for me in 99 as a late birthday gift! He had orginally bought me a snake for that birthday because he didn't think he would have the money for anything else but then some insurance money came through from a recent explosion at a surrounding chemical plant that had to pay out to any homes in the surrounding area that experienced damage but we wasted the money and $1500 of it was spent on a first automobile for me!

It looked exactly like this one:

Funniest story associated with that car....

Funniest would have to be when my sister and five of her very heavy friends wanted me to take them to them to the mall lol.... How was I to know that the air bag rear shocks would break with all their combined weight! From that day onward, the car would never level again.... some times one side would lift and the other side would stay down, other times the whole back end would be nearly touching the ground! People said they liked the near touching the ground look, but it was a rough ride and fixing the air shocks would cost more then half of what was paid for the car so I never did it lol

I still loved that stupid car and if I came across another one in great shape, with a fair price tag, I would buy it and really pimp it out lol....

Am I too late??? My first car was a 1965 Pontiac bonneville, blue. My dad bought it for me. It had electric everything in it. What a boat!! All the kids at school would use it to smoke in, in the parking lot. Course, they'd play with the electric windows and seats, and after the third new battery, down the road she went!
