I couldn't agree more Reddhott; my summer electric bill is 4X to 5X as much as my winter bill.

1: I love winter because when it's too cold I can always put on a sweater or crawl under a blanket. But when it's too hot in the summer, you can only strip so naked without actually peeling off your skin.

#1 I love winter because we can hike in the national forests and see out above the canopy.......and when the leaves have fallen, you get a better view of impressive geology like gorges, rock walls, caves and waterfalls.

I do not like winter. In fact, I do not like any time the temps get below the low 70's. Below 70°, I have to put socks and long pants on to stay warm.

My family is from the Midwest, and I have friends in Michigan, Nebraska and on the Eastern Seaboard. So I sympathize with those that hate winter, and really do understand. But I grew up in and currently live in Northern California, where it rarely gets below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Sorry, everyone else in the world, but winter to me is a breeze. I love it. I get to wear my comfy leather trench coat and my favorite scarf. The rain makes everything smell nice, and the cool air helps me sleep better.

3: I agree with bwh, in the winter if I get cold add some clothes. During the summer there is no way to hide from it and you can only strip so much.

I don't like winter because you can't open the windows and let fresh air in. (Although about once a month during the winter I open my sliders for about five minutes no matter how cold it is - makes me feel refreshed!)
