How does this help newcomers know which are the good 
I know. The thread we are in was closed and moved by a 'Guest" seems like we might have had the heads up on this if legit?
This is all due to whiskey's slow ... computer, because she keeps getting lag on the forum. So it looks like our code monkeys are setting a limit for how big a thread gets and starts a continuation thread after closing the original. This will help speed up the forum.

Our thread is just about flavoring so no big deal. Just freaked us out that a guest had rights to move and close. maybe a link to the original thread could be placed in the first post of the new thread?
Well, I'm happy aout this. There are certain very active threads with tanks, and games and certain boxmods etc. that I commented in more than 6 months ago, that continuously pop up to the top of my list under 'My Posts' every single time someone comments, even though I am not subscribed to that thread and have no interest in it.
Now perhaps I can FINALLY be rid of them

Wow...I had one not just 'move' ..but totally disappear..even the likes and everything!! yikes.....
It's working for me. The first post of the new thread is the first post of the original thread. The second post of the new thread has the link to the original thread. The third post of the new thread is a copy of the post that split the threads.
I just find it a little concerting that I have become death: the destroyer of threads. Repeatedly.

Why don't you get rid of the stupid social button crapola that was added? That's what slowed it down!!!
So, let me see if I understand this -- every time a thread gets up to 500 it will be closed a new thread opened -- that's 3 days for some of these threads..............how will people reference back? Will they have to know which thread incranation they posted in? I am laughing/shaking my head right now!!!

salem...I need to hang loose on this till the rug quits being shook so to speak...we will do this later if need be...ok ?
Clearly the work of hackers. No method to the threads that wer closed. One thread with 800 posts got closed while one with 3000 did not. I am off ECF till they figure this .... out.
Was anyone posting on the quote 'from Star Trek' contest..? That one is poof not moved..just poof gone...and it's not even in my 'post's...wow..that is strange...just poof..just like that.....if anyone finds it...let me know...thank you...
