There is another thread that I saw people talking about how slow this forum is. It was said that the huge threads are what is slowing it down. I am guessing that is why they decided to do this.

This thread. Towards the end http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...290708-please-find-alternative-liquidweb.html

salem, I think we all know that the social buttons are what slowed the place down -- can't they disable those and see if it speeds it up instead? Or are they paying for the placement?

so a few people come up with the idea that it's the big threads, and the suppliers aren't notified of such a drastic change first? I try to roll with the changes, but this seems rather odd. sorry if i'm out of line:p

I don't know but I am already seeing that the shorter threads are not opening any faster :(

Could just be because they are still working on the forum though.

well, she's not gonna be happy when the next person posts in the pre-vet thread and it closes:laugh:
This is all due to whiskey's slow ... computer, because she keeps getting lag on the forum. So it looks like our code monkeys are setting a limit for how big a thread gets and starts a continuation thread after closing the original. This will help speed up the forum.

To everyone that wants the social clicks removed I can help. If you use fire fox look here. Firefox Adblock Plus Addon: How to Block Ads - YouTube

For the poor saps using everything else you just have to google "how to block adds" with the name of your browser in the search. I run ad blocker software and its night and day fast for almost everypage you load up on the net. I dont think ad block was able to disable the social links though. Do a search for that also. I seen a post on ECF that got me around that. Just too long ago to remember the location. If and when someone finds it please link it up so the other folks can follow.
