I always bypassed the 7/11 and went to the casinos as soon as I found the prices on cartons. I probably spent twice as much on those cigs though. Turnabout is fair play though just got back 20,000 in Oct.
Since I quit smoking, I haven't even been to the several places where I usually bought my cigs. Even though we have a nice little B&M in town now, and I definitely support them regularly (!), there are 2 convenience stores here as well who are carrying little egos, and some tasty juices. So I stop at those some just to see what new stuff they have and to pick up some new juice. I've shared my quit-smoking-due-to-vaping story with one of the owners, and he is now happy to see me and eager to show me the new inventory when I come in. (-: I enjoy him.
Don't be too hard on the guy, he's just trying to make a living. I had something similar happen to me. I frequent a mom n pop shop near the neighborhood and I know the owner and he noticed I wasn't buying smokes anymore, nor loosies. He asked me why and I told him I quit and am vaping. He congratulated me and asked if I wanted to buy another variety of smokes, if you catch my drift. So much for knowing someone huh? Well, in the end it was a win win for me LOL.
I live right across the state line from Illinois and for years I'd drive into a small little town because the gas station there had smokes for about $1.50 less a pack than Wisconsin. I bought my gas there, too...gave me a reason to go. Now that I don't smoke, I haven't been there in almost 2 months. I did go there today and the clerk immediately put four packs on the counter. When I told him that I quit, he was very happy for me and wished more people would quit. I think I'll start going back there more often.
