Hey to everyone still up and about tonight. Hope your day was warm! Was hoping to get some input on my question from last night about a 2nd variable wattage / kick-able mod, but no go. I'll try again! :) Any input or thoughts on an affordable one i should look into for my 2nd vw pv?

EDIT: I love my Silver Bullet with the Kick!

Nogrin's still around so I'll let him lock up tonight...stay warm...

I'm probably the last one to trust to lock up... the other day, i loaded up some stuff in my car and left the house. My wife called me a few hours later asking why the front door was left wide open... doh! Thankfully, it was a warm day and all of the dogs were asleep in the bedroom!

Thanks for the info. I was looking at the Zmax, but wanted some opinions on it. I know i want vw or the option to use a Kick. No idea what the Groove is or even how the co-op works! :)

Mornin' folks. 20 degrees this morning. Supposed to be around 40 for a high today.

The shop called yesterday right about the time I started home in the cargo van, to tell me that my van was ready. I was actually suprised they got approval to fix it. Nearly 147,000 miles and its already had the transmission and other not so cheap repairs done.

Today begins day two with no tv, phone, or internet at the house, which is why I didnt check in last night. We live so far out in the middle of nowhere that cell service in minimal from any carrier. Apparently, AT&T has a major outage thats affecting the entire region. Dad in law said there was an article on it in the paper and the entire south east is affected. I will say it was kind of nice to see the kids playing without the tv on, the wife was cooking dinner and not glued to the laptop on facebook, and the house is marginally cleaner. Of course, as soon as the kids went to bed Mrs E fell asleep on the couch while I read a book.

Tell her to make a trebuchet, they're awesome!
What IS it with you and trebuchets?!

Atleast you attempted to do it. I've been trying to get hubby to put up a new mailbox I bought for two years. Come spring, I'm doing it myself. A little scared of the quikcrete I'll have to use, but what's the worst that could happen.
Its not difficult. Pour the concrete mix in, then hose it down. Use a level to make sure it stays straight. It sets in a few minutes and dries in less than an hour. And dont worry about soaking it down. You only need to wet it enough to hold it solidly. After a few rains, it will soak up enough water to finish setting.

Not me...I can cure that for you too.Example:"It was O.k. that I put oil in the gasoline hole in the lawnmower..right?" "I nailed the Christmas Tree to the new hardwood floor in the living room but I'm not sure where to put the water""What's a screwdriver"?

Good morning to everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful day!!! I need to catch up, but first.....

I assume some of you read my post on my mishaps yesterday, it only got worse  My doctor started me on a new pain medication. The normal starting dose is 1 - 300mg tablet on the first night. Two the next day, one during the day & one at night. So I took the 300 tablet around 12 or so, I wanted to see how my body reacted to it.  When it first kicked, I felt slightly drunk, I figured it would go away, 1/2 later I am seriously running into walls, can't see straight or walk. I know I grabbed two water bottles and check mix and went upstairs to bed because I thought I'd be better up there that roaming around down here. I do not remember anything after that. I know I talked to some people on the phone, thankfully my husband said it was only my daughter, my BF in MN and himself. However, I noticed on caller ID this a.m, that my clinic called - I have don't remember talking to the clinic. After I was close to normal again, around 7 p.m., I came downstairs. Bret had a prescription for me, it was a new lower dose of the medication - so I maybe talked to my doctor, because he said he didn't. Over all, I really don't remember anything for about 6 hours of yesterday! Iyiyiyi!

((( Tiff))) hope you day is better today than yesterday!

Sorry V about your Kohls trip. Amazon will ship it in two day, easy! And have enough packaging to play with.

Power Tools - everyone woman should know how to use them. I was young when my parents died and I learned how on my own, very carefully. I just don't care to do it, but if I have to I can. I know how to shut off all the water valves in the house, replace things in the top of the toilet, the list goes on. Plus, hubby traveled a lot after our daughter was born, I had no choice but to do it my self.

Temp: 34.5, warming into the high 50's with rain. Em talked to me yesterday morning (before medication) it was -6, I can honestly say I do not miss it at all. By 11 yesterday morning it was warm and sunny :) Funny thing was, at this temp, kids in MN, run to the bus without coats (the middle school & HS kids) we mostly had control over the elementary kids because they wanted to play in the snow at recess. With the middle & HS kids, there was not enough room in their locker for a coat, so they had to carry it around all day.
