Congrats Tiff! I'm so happy for you!!!!
  Remember that class I applied for? I just found out that I was accepted!!! There were over 100 applicants and I was one of 35 to get in! It's a weekend in March and a weekend in April in downtown and they pay for my hotel. I get to go ALONE to a hotel away from home overnight...did I mention alone? I'm so excited about the class!!

Roast beast, smashed taters and asparagus were my Sunday dinner tonight. Not a single liver was harmed or consumed in the making of this meal.
I'm going with a WW salted caramel shake with a banana. Much rather have those chicken livers, and maybe some fried okra.

Two weekends all by yourself? Signing up for more classes right away?
Thanks FV. I had no idea they were going to pay for a hotel. I thought I'd be driving back and forth the 70 miles there. An all expenses paid hotel for 2 weekends is much better.
Um, blech.
Hmm, new juice flavor idea.

Hi guys and gals. 9 hours today. I have a feeling Im going to hit over 60 hours this week. BUT, my spares are pretty much done (I had a couple of tags that stopped working right). I also found the time to wrestle two 1000 pound reels of fiber optic cable on to our new reel racks. As I started packing up this evening, Mrs E calls and tells me that Kat was going to go practice with former teammates again. So, dog tired, I drag my backside to the ballfield to help with the practice. We finally got home, scarfed dinner, threw the kids in the shower, and have just sat down. Ive got a feeling that it will be an early night tonight. If it isnt, Im going to be knocked out on the couch before bed time.

MAN, you HAVE to go to an NHRA race. Get seats right at the starting line. I've been to over a dozen and the seats at the Christmas tree are the best, by a long shot. You know the flames that come out of an header on a top fuel rail car? That's not fuel fumes igniting. That's the freaking air igniting due to the EGT (exhaust gas temp) being so insanely hot!!! Think about that when you go and see the fire coming out of the pipes!

Also,if you can, go all 3 days. If you can only go one day, go on the last day. Its when the competition is crazy and drivers will do almost anything to win
Ever hear of Zmax Dragway? The first four lane NHRA strip that is concrete from tree to trap? Its less than an hour away. I love drag racing, but have never been to a professional event. I loved racing my Camaro though. :D And dont worry. A trip to the (I think) Fall Nationals WILL happen. I just dont know when.
