Absolutely agree with this. I'm a firm believer in toughening up vs. being protected. People who go through life sanitizing everything their kids touch make me nuts. I don't say anything because it ain't my business, but I'd hate to see how much time they're going to spend at the doctor's office in the future.
Oh...on that same subject. I had a friend and neighbor who had a PhD in biology and was a water quality specialist for the local water company. He forbade the use of antibacterial soap in his house. He said that unless you used it for like 20 minutes straight, you were guaranteed to leave some bacteria alive - the bacteria most resistant to the antibacterial agents. He said that in effect, you were speeding the development of bacteria resistant to the antibacterial agents.
My grad students are seriously procrastinating on an assignment that is due tonight by midnight. I'm gonna penalize every one of them a full grade on the assignment if they submit it late. Grrrrr...and here I am with time to grade.

NICE! Can I show that photo to the next person who grooms Charlie? Cept I'd like the "ruff/mane" a little longer/wilder.
Oh, and we don't trim too close around his ears. The "gremlin ears" are part of what makes Charlie Charlie.
