The easiest beef pie I know of is Shepherd's Pie. Can be made with instant mashed potatoes. Brown some ground beef, drain, add frozen vegetables, sliced mushrooms, whatever. Add beef broth, cook a little, and thicken with flour or cornstarch. Put in a baking dish, top with seasoned mashed potatoes, and bake.
It's better when you make real mashed potatoes and spend some time on the gravy, but you can take the shortcuts and it's still good.

It was. We're the only place on a dead end road, with a killer driveway through the woods. I didn't even hear them coming, we were doing yard work out back. All at once it looked like a clown car of old ladies, then they were milling around, "Oh look at her lovely hostas!" Their "tour" consisted of the driveway, right back down it.
People are wierd.

I'm glad work is over for today! I was seriously irritated with the girl at work today. I worked at the shop in town today and it's the one where ther girls parents bought the shop for her last year and now she's lost interest. I was about ready to strangle that girl today. I know she's young, 20, but geeze, GROW UP! Her mom and I are running around like mad. I've got a cocker spaniel, large yorkie, and spitz/cocker mix groom. All shave downs. All lots of work and lots of hair. We've got a St. Bernard, Great Dane, and 8 other kennel dogs there. Dogs are everywhere! Guess what she's doing? After she finishes grooming her ONE dog, a Jack Russell Terrier, she went and laid down and went to sleep in the break room!!! Grrrrrr!
Wow, craptastic! I would have made it my mission to make sure she didn't sleep peacefully.
Did I mention her boyfriend was hanging out at the shop today. They were both peacefully sleeping together on the futon with the tv on. How they slept through the noise and barking I'll never know.
Sure wish I had someone to buy me a grooming business and then not have to do anything to work for it.
On a happy note, I just finished filing taxes and we get a refund. Of course it's already spent on paying something off.
