Good morning all.

I woke up to several emails from the same guy about the boat. He's coming by the house Saturday with cash in hand to buy it. I told him if he gives me my full asking price, I'll tow it the hour and a half to his house for no additional charge. Now Im excited and kinda sad. That boat wouldve been wicked if I couldve gotten it finished. Unfortunately, it was just too much project for the amount of free time I have.

But that means that I can start looking at bikes!!! Then I get to figure out how much money I need to ask for to get a loan and actually buy one. Used, of course. Ive already checked insurance. It shouldnt be more than $100 a year. I had a quote done using a 1000cc Yamaha R1, just to see what kind of numbers I could expect. Then its off to find safety gear. Jacket, gloves, helmet, etc. I dont think Mrs E considered all of that when she told me I could get it. And after that, its off to a Motorcycle Safety Course, then the DMV for my motorcycle endorsement.

I got to work and had one of the techs waiting on my with a list of stuff he needed last night. It just happens to be for a project with over $100,000 in materials. And NOTHING was done correctly by the engineering team. Its been a pain in the backside for two months now. So, Ive been scrambling all morning trying to track down everything, figure out what we're missing, figure out what was ordered and not shipped, and figuring out what was shipped, but not ordered. Its not even 9:30, and I need a nap.

So are you gonna sell the boat?
I dont really want to, but yes.

I hated baseball. They played like 17 innings.I was ready to leave after 1....I know I'm bad...Fortunately my boys quit to play soccer..
I hate soccer. A lot.

Carp! Carp! Carp! I just found a baby copperhead in my kitchen. I put a pyrex bowl on top of it and two metal pots on top of that. Called hubby & he said i have to kill it. Carp! I'll never sleep tonight now.
At least it isnt venomous. Oh.... wait....

Well, at least it isnt deadly. Usually.

I hate (to the point of freezing in terror) flying grasshoppers and things with those legs and wings. *shudders* The last time I had one in the house, I was trapped in the kitchen as it was in the hall. I would have hopped in the car and gone to a hotel, but I was in a tee and undies and would have to go past it to get to the bedroom. I called Mr. V. He was in Ohio. I called Sonny, not home. I grabbed the clorox clean up and a roll of papertowels to use as a shield. I sprayed it and it flew. OMG. It was a long and ugly night, I couldn't find it. Now I keep a can of bug spray on each end of the house, just in case.....

I did better with the missing snake in the house than I did with the stupid flying scary thing.
OMG I just got done laughing so hard a little pee might have come out. I know it wasnt funny at the time, but that would have been the funniest thing I have ever seen. Ever.

I would have spent the night at Motel 6...How in the world could that get into a house?
Am I the first one up? Good morning. I did not have a restful nights sleep. Hmmm, I wonder why?

This morning I am taking my grandma to the doctor & then clean her house.

Tomorrow when hubby gets home he will be a doing a thorough garage & perimeter search. I want to be sure the mom isn't lurking nearby with more of her nasty babies. Do they sell anything at Lowe's you can sprinkle around the house?

I too must say that was very brave...
Morning posse!

Glad I missed last night's excitement, I probably would have had nightmares otherwise. Tiff, wow, I'm impressed. I can't even kill a spider, it freaks me out. No way could I have taken out a snake, baby or otherwise.

Bam's the bike expert maybe she could give advice as to which one might be the best for you.I'd rather have a bike than a boat. You will use it more.Just in time for summer...or whatever it is at the moment...

OMG, Tiff!

I can handle anything, spiders, snakes, you name it... Except for palmetto bugs.

I hate those giant flying demon cockroaches. Hate them. Especially when they're on the ceiling or high on a wall and you go to swat at them and they fly towards you... Ugh! If I see one I scream like a little girl for my husband or one of the kids to kill it.

Copperhead, no problem. Giant python, no problem. Brown recluse, no problem. Black widow, no problem. But an effing cockroach?... END OF THE WORLD!

Maybe it's not so bad living in Maine after all. We don't have very many poisonous spiders, no poisonous snakes (native, anyway) and no nasty palmetto bugs. Ick.

I love your avi! Is that your buddy?

Nighty night to those going to bed!

No just a pic I found on the internets. My parents and sister have had 2 consecutive Bostans. I plan on getting a dog when my kids get older. I just got a cat to test the waters. That a fine lad on your picture.

I am finally home. And I think it's too late for a nap. The rest of last night was uneventful, thankfully. I only had one snake nightmare....I opened the office door and they were everywhere and when I tried to shut it one came after me. I woke up with a start. ewwww!!

My granny has been sick with a chest cold or something the past few days and she has COPD. She really needed to go to her lung doctor but he wouldn't be in the office til tomorrow so I took her to urgent care this morning. She was absolutely pitiful when I got to her house this morning. She could hardly walk down the hall to get dressed. They took her back immediately at the UC center and within 10 minutes said that they were sending to the ER. They didn't want me to drive her there so I met the ambulance there. Luckily, no pneumonia! A severe case of bronchitis and asthma. Brought her home and got her settled then my mom came over. I managed to get most of her house cleaned, at least enough to last til I go in a couple of weeks to do it again.

Picked up Morgan's glasses today and she looks absolutely adorable in them!

I'm pretty sure we probably have something similar in the arsenal cabinet.

I didn't have much of a choice. I know one thing though, I'm really good with a hatchet.

Glad you got someone interested in the boat. Good luck with the motorcycle search.

The only thing I can think of is through the office which is off of the garage. The garage door has a small area at the bottom that needs to be resealed or whatever you do to it. The office used to be part of the garage and the door leading out to the garage from there isn't sealed well. That will be remedied tomorrow as well. I'm thinking of just replacing all the door seals just in case. Last night I shoved blankets under the front door, kitchen door and office door. I'll do the same tonight.

Fog burned off. Super nice out. Thinking of slipping out at 2:30. Wish me luck.

I'm hate palmetto bugs too but not as much as snakes. When hubby and I first got married we lived in Florida near the sound. There were palmetto bugs everywhere. The duplex we rented was TINY. We had a cairn terrier and we taught him how to chase them and kill them. All we had to say was "Sparky, kill it". It was awesome!
