Me, tooo! Bikes are what it's all about.

I got my new laptop today. Now I get all the fun of migrating all my software. Blecch. On the other hand, I will have a new laptop when it's all done. The good news is that I love the laptop so far. :)

Good morning! :) Wow, lots of chatter in here this morning!

I got my shipping notice yesterday too, and have some co-op stuff headed my way, so lots of cool vape mail probably on Monday! :)

Nothing too wonderful...a Toshiba Satellite, core i3 based. One of Toshiba's "weekly specials". I like that they are still offering Windows 7 as an option. am in NO hurry to try Windows 8. :(

Oh, and good morning and happy Friday, everybody!

Windows 8 isn't as scary as everyone is making it out to be. I actually prefer it to 7 now that I've used it a while. I tried the developer's preview and hated it, but I got the full release as soon as it came out and really liked it. I do ignore the whole metro area, I think that was a great waste of design effort. Also, you get used to not having a Start button after a while. :)

... And GOOD MORNING!

Morning posse! It's Friday!!!!

Hooray for Friday! I went in early, so I will bail out of here about 3.

No, ma'am ;)
I have a love/hate relationship with new laptops. I love having faster, cleaner, etc. But to me a laptop is just a tool, and getting it set up like I like it, software migrated, etc. is a PITA. I always put off replacing a laptop until I'm pretty much forced to. My old one is barely functional, in spite of my best efforts at cleanup, optimization, tuning, etc.

Good morning! I almost never use the start button anyway, but I hate dumbed down interfaces. I actually configure my OS to look and behave as much as possible like the old version of Windows. I use hotkeys and shortcuts as much as possible, and a mouse as little as possible.

It looks like my painting the bathroom baseboards might have been for nothing. Hubby and I are supposed to go look at vinyl tile tomorrow and we'll probably remove the baseboards and replace them with the matching edging that goes up the side of the wall. Oh well...I painted the doors and door frames too so that was an accomplishment. I'm kinda excited about maybe getting some new floors in the bathrooms. Hubby going to try installing it himself and if it goes well he'll do the kitchen floor, which is in desperate need. Especially after I went postal on that snake with the hatchet the other night.

I can say "good morning" if its still morning in more than half of the country, right?

I dont know if I did something at softball practice last night, or a slept wrong. But whatever happened, my back is in near unbearable pain today. Ive already taken 800mg Motrin and it hasnt touched it. Im almost ok sitting down, but standing and walking are almost out of the question. So Ive been keeping my chair warm. I had paperwork to catch up on anyway.

I dont even have the bike yet, nor do I know if I will be able to get it, and Im already about to get myself in trouble. I made the mistake of looking for one small minor cheap aftermarket part for it on Amazon, just to get a price... After two hours, Ive looked at helmets, jackets, gloves, flush mount turn signals, fender kits, pegs, seat cowls, exhausts, windscreens, headlights, headlight covers, and more that I cant even remember.... Damn you Amazon...

Good morning.

Congrats on the new laptop Rick. I love new stuff.

James I hope it works out on the bike.

And if bragging is allowed, the scales this morning told me I have now lost 40 pounds!
Way to go Tiff!!! Thats an amazing number!

 no were working.
