I love purebred too but I've had some great mixed breeds too.

I have to walk my pit/lab mix constantly. One high-energy dog is a handful for me. Well, I guess the kids help her to get her energy out, too. She plays all the time, even though she's getting gray and her hips give her trouble. It's like she has no idea that she's not a puppy anymore.

I hope I'm like that at her age. In human years, of course.

Our vets have always been amazed at how low key ours are. They all have said they've never seen one that can sit calmly for even 30 seconds. Ours will sit still through an entire appointment and beyond. I don't really know where the reputation comes from. I don't see it in ours at all. Maybe we have the only 3 calm weimaraners ever born.

They are a little nutty outside with the occassional crazy burst inside, but that's about it.
