Good evening Posse.
Well, we lost our game this morning. When we started talking about the line up before the game, the head coach actually listened to me when it came to where to put the girls. The other team was ll over our pitcher. The girls did really well considering how the other team was hitting. We gave up 7 runs in the first inning. We got a couple of runs during our at bat. The next inning, we stopped them from scoring at all. They had some REALLY nice plays. Good throws, solid catches, good stops in the outfield. They were playing like a team! Then we got a couple more runs in. Then.... the coach decided that the magic that I had put together with the girls was working too well. And moved the first baseman, 2nd baseman, AND the effing short stop. First hit, it was fielded clean, thrown to first, and promptly dropped by her substitution. We allowed three more runs that inning, after having a 3 up, 3 down inning. At our last at bat, we were tight on time, but our power was up to bat. I was amped. We had our best batters up, and just enough time to catch up and get the win. For whatever reason, we just couldnt make any contact. Final score was 4-10. But it was still nice seeing the girls play as well as they did. At least until the coach swapped the best players off of the positions they SHOULDVE been on.
One of Kat's friends came to watch her teammates play. After the game, I took them to Burger King, then we came home, grabbed some bathing suits and took them to my dad's house (he's out of town) and let them swim. The pool was still green, but I know dad loaded it up with algecide before they went out of town and he needed it stirred up. The girls didnt care.
I took the bike to my dad's today. I found out that if Im in 3rd gear, the front tire stays down at wide open throttle, but if you arent careful, the acceleration will make the bike feel like its trying to pull itself out from under you through 12000rpm. Its AWESOME.
Now, its time to get kids rotated in and out of the shower, and get them to bed. Y'all have a goodnight!!!
In the olden days when I was growing up. We were out playing from dawn till dusk. But you'd better here when mom whistled and be home in 5 min or less or there's be HeLl to pay.
Sent from Drott's dog shack
We had until the street lights came on to be in front of the house. Didnt have to be the yard, just within sight of the house. Once the porch light came on, we had to be inside in less than 5 mins.
We had to be in when the street lights came on...then we could catch lightning bugs in our yard...Good times
I love watching the kids try to catch lightning bugs.
I just found a coupon for Papa John's for 25% off your whole online order.
Use code 25OFF
They have a special where all larges are $12, and if you use the special you can't use the coupon. BUT... If you build your own or just use the regular links to add a large specialty pizza, it still rings up at $12 AND qualifies for the 25% off.
Guess who's not making dinner tonight?
Even if I had known about that sooner, it wouldnt have helped me. One, when I was in Great Lakes, IL during my first school after boot camp, Papa Johns was the only pizza place that could deliver on base. Needless to say, we had a LOT of Papa Johns. I havent had it since I left Great Lakes... in 1998. Two, there are no Papa Johns that will deliver to us. We live too far away from everything. Oddly enough, most everything is 25 miles away.
So tonight was hotdogs.
