The Prettiest in NeverNear
I love burgers...
I made his favorite dinner, burgers and baked beans. The kids made him the PB cookie, which turned out to be a mess. Apparently the dough expands as it cooks. My 10yo filled the pan to the top with dough and it overflowed all into the oven. The cookie still tastes good, though, so that's what counts.

I told him he had to stay out of the kitchen, so he went out to the garage for a few. When he popped his head in the door, I decided to mess with him and I told him I was making pork chops with apple fritters for dessert. (He hates pork chops and has a nasty reaction to apples.)

He goes, "You know, I can smell the peanut butter cookie in the oven."

Doh! I tried.

Good evening everyone! I hope the dads had a great Father's Day. I know I did.

Just after lunch I went over to visit with my brother. We spent all day watching the race, went and spent a few hours at the pool with the kids, his wife made an awesome roast coated with garlic, rosemary, and thyme. Fresh green beans. And roasted garlic taters. REALLY good dinner. Then we all went up to Cold Stone for some ice cream. I just got back home and got the kids in bed. And I think Im going to head to bed myself. Im exhausted.

Y'all have a good night!!!

Same here. Andy cuts the grass, and occasionally trims the shrubs, but that's about it. I'm going to have to get out there and do some serious yard work. :(

I have to keep it a secret too and perform stealth maintenance on the mower when hubby is at work; he has not figured out yet why the mower will die out on him one week, comes in thinking he will finally have to replace it, and then it works fine the following week when he gives it a try to show me its dead. He also assumes that grass just does not grow as high under bushes where only a weed eater could go - not even sure he knows we have one of those. He does complain that all I do is putter around with the flowers and could learn to do more of the heavy yard work, but he really needs the exercise :)

This is Father's Day though and the yard can wait a week while he does his favorite outdoor activity - grilling dinner :)

Middle of No Where, GA
so this was the night from he!!.

I met my parents and sister at for supper at Cracker Barrel. We go in, eat, talk, leave. I'm digging through my purse looking for my keys. Yep, their in the truck. And the truck is still running. Both doors locked. Call locksmith, they say 30 minutes and $60. An hour and a half later, 30 seconds to open the door, and now all of sudden it's $110!!!

I was so glad to pull in my driveway....until I walked in the front door. Fiona had thrown up in three differnt places. And the worst of all, Shrek had had ........ in his kennel. So Alex takes all the dogs out to the bathroom. I bag up Shreks bedding and take it to the trash. Clean up the puke from Fiona. Scrub out Shreks kennel. When Shrek came in from outside I see he is covered in it. Ewwwww!!!! So I had to give him a bath. It usually takes hubby and I both to bathe him because he tries to jump out. I just have hubby hold him in and I crawl in the tub and bathe and rinse. Alex decided that he had enough for the day and retreated to his room so I bathed him by myself. I got my second shower for the day. Finished that, mopped the pools of water off the floor, took Shrek back out to have more ......... Can't find the pepto.

I have Febreezed the he!! out of this house and it still smells like fresh breeze sh**. I've opened the window in the living room to see if that will help.

Shew, I'm so glad this day is almost over.

So, how is everyone else?
