Us either. Last night Mr.?? got an emergency call.A teenager stuck in a tree after he jumped from his vehicle when a flash fllood overtook it.They wanted to know if they should call the air force..(small town). He told them only if they wanted to bomb him...There's a flood crew or two within the state that does those kind of rescues and he sent them. He's out now...

Oh yeah.... Happy Friday Posse! And good morning.

We've had 14 days straight of a LOT of rain. We're starting to see roads wash out. Bugs are running for cover out of overflowing storm drains. Cars driven by id10ts are being stranded in flooded roads. We cant walk in the backyard without either slipping or sinking. Im scared to see what my basement looks like when I get home. Ive been putting off checking on it. If you dont see it, its not there, right?

And if the forecasters are close to right, the rain wont stop clearing up until LATE next week.

The only good thing to come from all of this, is that the temps have been low. I remember being at last year's races with the temps hitting 108 on pit road, it was really about 98 (late May). So far this year, I dont think we've hit 90 more than 3-4 times.

I saw this on Good Morning or somesuch nonsense this morning.(I am never up this early nor do I watch these shows so I'm thinking me seeing this is providence)..not the capitol of Rhode Island...Providence as in a reason that I saw it. It's a search engine that does not collect ANY information about you or what you search.No passwords,no interests,no nothing.They have grown from 10% in April to 90% in a matter of weeks.Hmmmm wonder why? Big Brother cannot collect anything from them because they keep nothing...It doesn't stop Amazon,ebay or whatever site from tracking you but the government can't pull information from this site on where you have visited.
It's called Duck Duck Go. I did some searches on it and it's every bit as good as google... I'm going incognito now to lessen the chance of government eyes knowing that I make things out of Popsicle sticks.

Good morning posse!

I have the day off today as a paid "summer Friday". The thing is, I'm pretty busy at work right now and actually liking what I'm doing. I considered working anyway until I realized that today is the first nice day we've had here in over a week and it's probably the nicest day we've had so far this summer. It's sunny, dry and cool with a lovely breeze. Even if I just sat on my couch with the windows open all day it would be a treat, but I think I'll get the dogs outside and take care of some of the yard work we've had to neglect because of all the rain and heat. I wish I could send all of you with bad weather some of what we have here today. It's pretty close to perfect.

Of course I probably just cursed myself and it will turn overcast and hot within the hour.

My wife just called. Cocoa got sick again. And with it being nothing but boiled chicken and her meds, Mrs E called the vet again. Theyve basically said without the ultrasound, they cant find the underlying isssue. So, she said what would happen if we get the ultrasound done? They told her that there is a 50/50 chance that there will be nothing that can be done. And the "good" part of the 50/50 will only give her a few months, but would be extremely expensive. Not just in the vet bill, but as far as meds and special foods go.

We're going to have her put to sleep this afternoon if they have an appt open. Mrs E said if we want to stay for it, we have to have an appt.... Im already a wreck right now... I cant watch that...

Good morning. I'm sick of not working. The little shop has nothing today or tomorrow for me and the big shop is still in shambles. I'm gonna call some of my personal clients next week and tell them that I'm grooming at home for now. On the plus side I'm getting some things gs accomplished here. Today my project will be sanding the t able and putting the first coat of primer on.

What she said. It's your final thank you to them for loving you for so many years. I'm always there to pet them and tell them how much I love them. It's hard, but important. They shouldn't be alone in their last minutes.
