Morning posse! We're home.

500ml bottles of House? hmmmm, not sure how we'd ship it, but we do have some 480ml bottles. *thinking*

Baby chicks grew some wing feathers while I was gone. Pics later, we're trying to get back in the groove over here.

I seriously considered leaving the store closed for another day, but while I was pondering that, Mr. V opened it. I'll go in to work this afternoon. Or make him do it, he's the one that opened.

Hut 2.1 is coming along nicely, progress is happening much faster now. Drywall is going up. We need more hours to work over there so we can just get it done. It's taking forever. blech.

Sallie, I'd move. I hate company. Crabby hermit witchdoctor over here.

Sounds like you really enjoyed their visit....:lol::lol:
Morning posse. I finally got rid of my sister. Not permanently, but at least she went home. :D Unfortunately that meant my brother-in-law went with her. That I'm truly sorry about. He could stay for a month and I wouldn't get sick of his company... as long as he left my sister home. :glare:

See above...

We now have 3 weeks of peace and quiet before the next set of visitors descend on us. We're having friends from Florida plus his daughter and her husband and two kids. It feels like I'm running a bed and breakfast this summer. The only problem is the money is going out, but none is coming back in. We had to buy new mattresses for the guest rooms. One of the ones we're replacing was our old mattress from 10 years ago and has seen better times, the other one was a cheapo full we bought when we moved into the house and cost us all of $150 for the set. All of the people visiting this time are amazons, so we decided we'd better get a full XL so their feet don't hang off the bottom of the bed. That also means new bedding for the full xl.... Ugh.

After they leave we get 2 weeks off and then more company.

If one more person calls and says they want to visit this year I'm going on a vacation while they visit and my husband can deal with them alone. Don't these people realize I'm a hermit and I like living in the middle of nowhere so people don't bother me? Sheesh!

In fact if one more person calls and says they want to visit this year and my husband agrees, I think I will make good use of those new mattresses we just bought and move my husband into one of the guest rooms for awhile.

We lived 20 minutes outside of Washington DC when Mr.??? was in service and we had people show up that we didn't know. We were really poor too. So poor we had to use pennies to buy Anna's formula at the end of the month. No money for entertaining..

Dang, we haven't been to Maine in a very long time and just the other day Mrs Punkin said, "let's call Sallie and see if we can go up and visit." I guess I'll have to break the news to her... :(

<jk> I do know how you feel. We USE to get those requests when we lived out west. Turns out they just wanted a free place to stay so they could go to Disney Land. Now nobody comes to visit us anymore(yeah) because they already seen the Amish and their buggies!

Hey everyone. I don't usually post much personal stuff but things have gotten really bad and I know y'all worry when people go missing. Things at home aren't good. The wife is gone. I'll be concentrating my time on being there for Haley as she is most important. So anyways, don't mean to dump on y'all but I probably won't be around much. Take care everyone.

The last time we had extended stay guests I was in tears by day 3. Never again. Nothing was good enough. Not the food, the places we went, the fishing, nothing. It was horrid. Living near the Dells means people looking for a place to stay. Um, get a room in the Dells, they have tons of hotels, with free waterpark passes. Leave the hermit alone.

Oh! And there was the friend of Mr. V's that called that he was bringing the family up to the Dells for a week. They were going to stop by for a visit. I'm good with that, I really like his wife and kids. He showed up with this woman and teenager, NOT the wife and kids that I know. He introduced us to his wife and daughter. TWO families! We were stunned, we had no idea. It was a creepy feeling day....

giving up on those last 4 eggs today. :(

giving up on those last 4 eggs today. :(

Just a dumb question: What do you do with the 4 eggs that didn't hatch? Are they then just like the ones you buy at the store and have them for breakfast tomorrow or are they half developed so you give them to a Filipino friend and call it balut?

You wouldn't want to eat them, they have baby chicks in there, they may still be alive, may have died right before hatching. We're going to take a closer look and see if they are moving at all in there. *fingers crossed*

480ml will serve :)
I'll ask Mr. V, he's the shipping guru.
I don't think I would get sick of it at all. I'd pay extra for shipping too. Let me know if its doable and how much it would be! Thanks.

I had egg salad for lunch. No, not the hatching eggs. blech.

The two family guy:
He did explain, kinda. He told Mr V that he felt he was missing something in his life, then met woman 2. She got pregnant so he set her up in a house. Same town. So he would tell first Mrs. that he was going on a business trip, then go spend time with family 2. Family 2 knew about Family 1, but not until the baby was born and they were in the house. I guess wife #2 decided that she could live with it. Wife #1 found out about Family 2 and threw him out.

I did make sure that he understood that while I was polite to family 2, that I do not approve. Mr. V flat out said: "Where is (wife #1) and the kids, and who the hill is this???"

I don't care what one feels they are "missing". You don't do this to your wife and kids. :2c:

And JD, what Stretchy says goes for me too. We're friends, and if you need us, even just to vent, we are here.
