Mornin' folks.

I woke up just before 5:30 this morning. You know.... right when my alarm clock goes off during the week? Yeah. Then, an hour later, I was woken up by a huge clap of thunder. 23 seconds later, Melanie ran into the bedroom and curled up with me. By 7:00, we lost power. Which is unusual. It wasnt out too long though. I finally dragged Mrs E out of the bed at 7:30.

Its supposed to be nasty all day today. There is another line of severe storms thats going to hit sometime after lunch. There are storm watches and tornado watches all over the area. BUT.... its still in the 40's, so no ice for us!

Mrs E is having a hard time with this diet thing, but Im really glad she's finally doing it with me. Ive lost 6 pounds this week. Its all the "Holiday Weight" though. Once I get down a couple more pounds its going to stop coming off so quickly. But she's not going to step on the scale at all until Monday.

Good morning! I finally made it out of bed and I'm hopelessly far behind since I didn't get a chance to check in from work yesterday. Home game last night which the Reign won in overtime. Still #1 in the league. :D

Everyone is having horrendous weather but us. Why do I feel jealous of FV being snowed in with the fire and the dogs?!? I do NOT envy you the drive home, though. Driving in those conditions is a PITA.

Charlie is getting a bath today. He doesn't know it. He says hi.

I'm so glad you got out of there.I would do nothing today but chill and that wouldn't be hard in your kind of weather...
We have finally safely arrived at home. It's a darn skating rink out there. Less than 20mph on the shoulder and still sliding all over. I am grateful to be here in one piece. It took forever to get here, and there are cars just piling up. People must have forgotten about black ice.

No orders will go out until Monday morning, it's too treacherous to try to go back to the shop early enough to make the morning mail.

Kicking back with a cup of hot cocoa and relaxing.

I can't help you with the Roku hook up. Hubby did it and said it was easy.....

I'm cleaning the hut. Blech. I decided to tackle the china cabinet. skeered.....

I have a bookcase I need to clean off but I fell asleep on the couch and now don't want to do it.

Raining mega here also. RR is super busy. Nothing better than going to the DMV on a rainy day. Did hit 47 but it's a cold 47

Drott's dog shack on the move.
Work was really busy here too! We had so many people coming in for passports, I didn't think Larry would ever finish them all!

And we must have gotten to at least 60 today, because it's 59 now. We had some horrendous rain too, huge puddles in the roads in really strange (not the normal) places.

Ian hooked my Roku up, so I have no clue either.

And Tiff, the bookcase will still be there whenever you're ready to tackle it! I know this because my dining room table has never disappeared on me. :glare:

Messy china cabinet is still messy. Jake is laying in the middle of the room moaning. He's dying of starvation right there. I keep walking over him, dragging a foot. Tough luck fatty, it is not dinner time yet.

My cats pull this carp. :glare: They get fed about 4:30 am and 4:30 pm. I just fed them, so about 10 pm, they will act like it never happened and start trying to pull cans of cat food out of the case again. And yes, they are fed quite enough! They are both huge and could stand to skip a meal or three.

Is Charli clean and smelling good now? Victor the stinky is laughing at him.

Jake starts up about 2 hours after he eats. He wanders around moaning, then falls over in front of me. You would think he would figure out that it's not going to work, it never has.

Funny, as I drug my foot across him on the way through the dining room it reminded me. I used to walk over Sonny and drag a foot as he threw a fit.
