I use it in 500 mode and still not impressed with it. I know they sell a ring to extend it to 18650 but it is a shiny polish and my Vari is satin and I am OCD.
I go through 3 18500s a day.
Might see if any one wants to trade a mini for full size, maybe.

I don't know why but I don't like 18650 batteries...I find tthey make my Mods too long and clumsy for me.
I am a chain Vaper and I use 2 - 18500 batteries per day on my full size Provari...the vape shop where I bought it, told me he couldn't believe I could use 2 - 18500 batteries a day And told me I mustn't ever put it down. He only uses 1-18500 a day...I told him that was nice.

I understand the OCD and it being 2 finishes...I wouldn't like that either.
Since, I bought the Astro mod, I now use Astro in 18500 mode and ProVari 18500 daily...still only use 2 batteries. I do notice that if I have a 1.2 or lower ohms coils on my genny attys, the Astro seems to suck power from battery and I can use 2 batteries powering the Astro per day. So I try to build my coils at a higher resistance so I can use the genny atty on ProVari too.
I always have my PV in hand, I recently lowered my nic content so that might have caused my recent chain vaping....
I can use one 650 in the Vari for three days and that is vaping about 6mls a day.

Morning, James! I can't believe it's so quiet here this morning. I slept in until 8 (left coast time). Felt gooooooood. Today is more class prep, pay a few bills, not sure what else. I've been kinda half-heartedly shopping for a new bike. I'm not ready to pull the trigger on anything - it will probably be another year. In the meantime, I'm looking at what's available. Not falling in love with anything yet, and I'm a little bit stuck between another windshield bagger and a touring bike. Nothing is really calling to me. :/

I will have to get Hubby's approval. I really need to buy juice and some replaceable heads with my next vape allowance. And the provari is a months worth of my vape allowance. And since he just bought me a car.....well....who knows what he'll say.
Not sure if I said this or not but the feds ended Hubby's furlough early. Its over! One more check with about 8 OT hours missing then all goes back to normal.
Has anyone tried taking a mini, buying a couple of the rings (I disremember the name), wrapping the whole thing with an 18650 sized wrap, then slicing the ring wraps to be separate?

Someone makes a very nice looking extension ring for the P-word. With a Mini and two rings you can use 18350, 18490/500, and 18650 batteries. The only downside is the rings, while very nice looking, don't match the finish on the P-word. I was wondering if a J-wrap could be sliced at the ring part so that the finish matched with or without one or both rings.
