The Prettiest in NeverNear
Like what? Loving them more? Breaking your back? Sleeping less? My Aunt Helen always said "God lets only special moms have special children"...He chose right when he picked you..It probably doesn't feel that way right now but Aunt Helen did not lie...

The cleaning, reading and nap never happened because Alex's school called. He's having such a really hard time since school started. The special ed coordinator I talked to today said the plan we made at our meeting Friday went out the door and didn't even begin to worrk and she thinks he needs a different placement. Sooooo, he's going back to homebound school until we can get the anxiety back under control. Probably need a med change. He's completely regressed over time and I'm afraid all the hard work done when he was younger is being undone. Anywho, he's got a psych appt tomorrow and I'm working on filling out the application for the resource info they gave me Friday. I'm going to fill out an app for both kids so they could both get services and help because from my understanding they would both meet qualifications.

I know this is part of having children with disabilities like mine but I can't help but think there is something I could have done differently.

Tiff, don't beat yourself up! I honestly don't think there's anyone who works as hard with your kids and their schools and stuff as you! Just a thought, have you ever looked into something for Alex over the summer? It might be that the long break from the routine of school isn't something that he can adjust to well?

Thank you!

We've tried various activities over the years and transitioning back to school is always hard for him. Transitions in general are very difficult. Even if its just for Christmas break. We had great plans for him over the summer but circumstances beyond my control messed it up. In 9th grade he was doing so well but since then he seems to have regressed. He won't eat lunch with the other kids, doesn't talk about his friends anymore, etc...all the things you try so hard to teach a child with autism because it doesn't come naturally.

sorry, that did make me laugh. :facepalm:

Glad I wasn't the only one. Thankfully Miss Tiff saw some humor in it, too. She's a remarkably good sport!

Woohoo! I just got a shipping notice on my pre-order i34! :banana::banana::banana:

Those things are cool looking. And BIG.

The Peach State
Had a busy busy day. Finally sitting for a few minutes.

Had to go to Wal-Mart to get some cleaning supplies for the house since it has to be super spotless when Unk finally gets to come home and I'm pretty sure the people that were behind us at the self checkout didn't pay and there was only one cashier working and she had a line of about 10 people... :glare:

My order from FT came today and we have to send back one item and I will have to wrap another coil for the rda I got.

I'm going to go lay down so I will quit complaining.. :facepalm:
