Mixed results from the call. The request for a donation was made for marrow, not blood stem cells. With my messed up back, I am not qualified to be a marrow donor, only blood stem cells. They are looking at an extremely compressed timeframe with this donation. They want to have me do the donation around the end of September/early October.

***edit***
They called back quicker than I anticipated. They will accept stem cell donations. So, I get to listen to his "how we do it" speech, then talk to the wife about it over the weekend, then call him back Tuesday morning to confirm when I can do the donation.

I consider them a hobby/insurance against the FDA. That little Innokin you bought will surprise you especially if you use the iclear that comes with it.It's an awesom vape.Pumpkin PIE just shines...

Been weaning myself slowly. Got the MVPs I do use them and have 2 Of the little ones like SP just got coming. But thinking the batt life won't work for me.I say Drott you don't use 3/4 of the mods you have. WHY are you still buying.:lol: YOU need Help.

I loved my 808...
It's one of the older models of ecig. It's sort of like when videotapes first came out, there were VHS and Beta models available. The 808's are the Beta of ecigs. They have different threading than the 510's, so they aren't interchangeable.

Hey posse!

I've only got a moment, I just finished an essay and I have a 5-page paper to complete by 9am...

But I thought you might find this amusing:

For Freshman Comp II we will be spending the semester studying a discourse community of our choosing. I chose the e-cigarette community. :D

Ok, back to work... ttfn!! I promise I'll check in when I get a chance, I've just been buried!!

Thanks for the good info on VW...I didn't know that.I.m sorry about your practice. That sucks. Have a fab weekend at the beach.I will be living vicariously thru you...

Mornin' folks. Yesterday turned into 13 hours of suckage. I didnt get home until 9pm. Effin' Google Maps decided to route me home over a stinkin' dirt road, in the dark, after a hard rain. I missed our practice yesterday. And I had a LOT of stuff I wanted to cover since it was a double practice followed by a scrimmage. Parents are unhappy with me, and rightfully so. The other coaches are just as happy, and again, rightfully so.

Im not sure if today will get any better until its time to go, which according to policy, could be as soon as 2pm.... Even our CEO sent an email out saying we could leave two hours early. It was followed up by an email from Douch Canoe saying we could leave two hours early only if we finished with today's work.... Which wont be done until well after 5pm for most of the guys.

As soon as I get home, Im loading the luggage carrier on top of the van, packing it up, and we're leaving. Ive already told the wife that I am doing NOTHING but sitting on the beach or next to the pool with a beer in my hand. No shopping, no sightseeing, no NOTHING but beer, beach, and pool.

Now for the SUPER QUOTE FROM HELL!!!!!

Thats great news!!!!

I refuse to like that on principle. One, GA is too far away from me. And two, there's a reason Philip Morris and RJ Reynolds grow their tobacco in NC. Its the BEST!!!! :p

I cant post it from work (photobucket is blocked now), but I still think my t-shirt design would sell out. I'll try to post it this weekend if I remember.

Thats not the version of that statment that I know..!

Stainless Steel LT you say...? Hmmmm....

I dont know why youre facepalming that.... I think its awesome!

Do you really refer to yourself as "Drott" when talking to yourself?

Um... I saw it. You wanna know who went home? The post eviction interview was AWESOME!

VW is the same thing as VV as far as how it operates. Easier, in fact. Set the wattage to whatever setting makes the juice good to you, and it will automatically change the voltage to get that same taste regardless of the resistance of the coil.

I PIF'd all of my 808's.

Couldnt imagine why your job is so stressful. Its not like you work with idiots all day..... oh.... wait.....

That reminds me... Has anyone heard from Voo lately?

Of course you can! You can do anything when you put your mind to it!

What happened with the customers?

Workin' over here... Odd I know. Its happening more and more often.

Oh, and MoD, good to see you! A lot of people dont even realize that there is an entire sub-culture centered around e-cigs.

During break from class last night, I went outside to have a vape. One of my students was ahead of me and pulled out a "Chi Yu" (?). Looks like s stainless steel mechanical mod with an RBA. We had a nice chat about vaping. I suggested he try Copper Creek juice, so maybe we will have a new posse member at some point. :)

Oh something good did happen today. Superviser off. YEA

WIN!

I"m off today...gonna be lazy 'cept for a short shopping trip. It's humid as heck here (at least for California), but the consolation prize is the likelihood of T-storms later. I love T-storms.

 Thank you ma'am.

This is the fourth time Ive been contacted to donate. The first time I went through the process all the way through the last verification, and they determined I was not a close enough match.

The second time, I made it all the way through the donation process in March 2007. But by the time my donation made it to the leukimia patient, she had contracted an infection and couldnt receive the donation. Unfortunately, she never recovered from it.

The third time was last year (April 2012). I went to a local lab and had a blood sample sent in. After a month I didnt hear anything back, and no one would return my calls. That 7 year old girl had Severe Aplastic Anemia. I never heard anything else about it.

This time, they are jumping almost straight to the donation. I guess they have enough of the details they need on my blood that I dont need to do another lab trip this time, or since its been so recent they dont need a new sample. OR.... this is for the same patient from attempt number 3. The packet they emailed me said that this donation is for an 8 year old girl with Severe Aplastic Anemia. Sound familiar? The age would be about right, too, for the same girl. However, they dont disclose any information to the donor without explicit permission from the recipient's family, so I really dont know for sure.

All I do know, is that they want this done REALLY fast. On attempt number two, it was nearly a three month process from start to finish. They are hoping to do this one within 6 weeks.
