I don't think there's anything like that around here. The gas station sells meat, does that count? Gross, huh?

Bamrz, search around your area. We found a meat market not that far away that actually is a old fashioned butcher shop. Livestock comes in on Tuesdays, it's all locally grown, farm raised meat. It costs more than the grrrrocery store stuff, but it tastes so much better. And didn't come from a feed lot.

I'm back from the grocery store and $220 poorer. Now about to make the pharmacy run for atleast another $100. Oh, and I have to go pay the utilities. Fun, fun, fun. But~ it's still been a good day.

Yay, Peanut ate! Two big ol' pieces of kale a few pellets and a few pieces of hay. He tried nibbling on the carrot but it is bigger around than my finger so I'm going to go cut it up into quarters.




I keep trying to sleep but every time I close my eyes he stumbles or topples over and my eyes immediately jerk open. So I'm laying here watching him sleep, finally.

I might need to go up more near Drott's area, or maybe in Delaware. There isn't really much around here as far as livestock.

You want shudders? We've had these guys selling meat out of a van in our neighborhood the past couple weeks. They've knocked on my door twice so far, and I'm really surprised the cops haven't shooed them out of here yet.

Reminds me of one of my distant cousins. He drives to the gulf coast and buys shrimp and crawfish then drives the 8 hours back to sale them here, out of the back of his truck in a cooler. He tried to give my dad some and my dad wouldn't even take them for free.

Turning to more important news Here' the Pics...It does exist and it is BEAUTIAS.....and VERY VERY VERY HEAVY....Omg ....You could keep this in your purse and kill someone with it..You couldn't keep it in your purse too long because it's VERY, VERY,VERY HEAVY.
I can't wait to try it...Waiting on the battery...It's gorgeous.I love the design but this is a stay at home mod..To put it into prospective...You could pack a weeks worth of clothes in that little suitcase it comes in....O.K. maybe not..but it is hefty..And tall...Very very tall..

Hey folks. Suprise, been busy today. But Monday number 5 is MUCH better than Monday number 1. Im gonna head home and get on the bike and go watch Melanie practice. Then Im going to head into town to buy some stuff that I want to take to DC with me this weekend. When I get home, Im going to go downstairs and down some beers and veg in front of the tv and/or video games.

We had one come to the door when hubby was at work one night. I, of course, took Shrek to the door with me since I didn't know the guy. He got upset with me and said I shouldn't scare people like that with my dog. I told him good, glad he scared ya, now go away.

So I went to Target for 4 medications. One they had, two they were able to give me enough til Tuesday when more will be in, and one, a new one for Morgan, was going to be $143 WITH our insurance AND using a discount card from the medication manufacturer. WhAt!!! I told them to put it back. I called the doctor and told them that insurance wasn't covering it and we would need an alternatvie medication or not use one. They're supposed to call me back Monday. There's no way in hill I can afford that every month on top of what our other medical expenses are.

I did end up buying a canning kit and book. I just have to decide what I'm going to make first. And I got 5% off of the whole purchase. Whoo Hooo! Ended up saving like $3 and some odd cents.

On a funny note, while on the interstate today a person driving next to me wouldn't let me over. I'd speed up and they'd speed up. I slowed down thinking I'd just get behind them but they slowed down too. The faster I went the faster they went. Finally, I hit the gas and opened it up and flew by them at almost 97 miles an hour. They were doing it on purpose so I left them in the dust. I love that new car! And maybe not quite so funny but interesting?

You have to open the CC forum page to see if any new threads are there. That's what I do.

So, Unk got weighed by his doctor today and he is at 200lbs even. That means he has lost 330lbs since his surgery last March!

It's been a tough road but he said today that he is glad to have taken it even with the bumps.
