Imagine a breaded and deep fried lump of string cheese. That is fried heaven, A.K.A. cheese curds, and I will take culvers over waffle house any day. But I do have a great memory of waffle house in Georgia. I'll tell ya later...

Anyway, its bit late in the conversation but, I finally solved the school board vs. High functioning autistic son situation here in NC. I am doing something I swore I would never do and that scares me to death, I am home schooling this year. The IEP(individual education plan) they came up with last year was not followed at all but thats a long evil story.
Glad to see all chickens are still present and accounted for.
Everyone seems to be present(ish) and accounted for.
Vegetarian eggs...just one thing comes to mind...Soylent Green is PEOPLE!

DanG, I dont think you are alone in the night shift. We used to have a small contingent of Posse members that called themselves the Posse Vampires or something like that. Most of them dont hang around too much any more though.

My day is already off to an awesome start. I left home on time, only to get stuck behind a trash truck. 45mph in a 55mph on a two lane road with no passing zones. Got to the next leg of the trip, four lane road, got around him. After 2 miles of four lanes, the road goes back to two lanes. This time, I get caught behind a cement truck. 35mph in a 45 zone where you can normally cruise between 50-60. I was five minutes late getting to work. I get in and boot up the computer and Im greeted with a half dozen emails with the same subject line. Oh goodie. That means someone is missing something and trying to find where it went. Condensed version:

-We shipped these units to 28 cities from mid July through August. All units were shipped FedEx.
-What about the ones for Charlotte?
-That unit was shipped and signed for by "JEFIRD" on 7/31

Then my boss chimes in: James, do we have these?

Keep in mind, all of this happened after working hours last night.... And I come in an hour before everyone else, so I cant ask yet. But NOWHERE in the email string does it refer to an actual part or equipment. Just "units". HOW THE EFF AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT YOU PEOPLE ARE TALKING ABOUT!!??? Ungh...

Scared the crap out of myself when I flicked on the light in the bathroom and there was this big head with no hair on it staring back at me. 8-o Some day I'll learn... We home schooled our son that has Aspergers when he was younger. The special ed system is hard to navigate. I've got a few long evil stories myself. If you want to learn more about how to navigate the system then if you don't already have them I suggest getting two books both written by Pete Wright. Wrights Law and From Emotions to Advocacy. I have two in special ed now. Have you thought about using one of the online charter schools? Most are free. We're looking at that as a last resort if we can't get him and his situation solved. At this point we just want to get him to graduation. Baby steps.

I took Morgan to school and Alex unloaded the dishwasher while I was gone. I take him to school at 11:30 since he's on half days right now. Then I've got to go pick up my paycheck and to Target for prescriptions. I need to just move in over there as much as I have to go. For now , its tiimee for some housework.
