Bad experience at summer camp? No. But I have seen a cougar in my back yard, and bears have destroyed my bird feeders. I'm not real comfortable walking around the woods unarmed knowing that there are things higher on the food chain than me out there.

I think she was more referring to "Freezer Camp" than all of the wild beasties in your back yard.

I spent the night canning barbeque with Unk.

Got some Boston behinds for a dollar a pound. 90lbs of meat.... I'm tired of looking at meat...

Canned bbq??? Man I have to move down south, I feel like I am missing all this good food. I never even knew what grits were till I went to a waffle house in Georgia

Move to the mountains of NC/TN. You can get the best of Memphis style BBQ and Western Carolina style, and there is even the occational eatery that serves Eastern Carolina style. And you could swing down by my neck of the woods when I do my bbq and finally understand why everyone tells me I need to open my own restaurant/smokehouse. Yes, Im bragging. And no, its not exaggeration. I love people telling me my 'Q' is the best. And no, Im not modest about it.

Grits.... hm.... Grits have to be cooked right, and loaded with butter, salt, pepper, fried eggs, bacon/sausage, and maybe cheese.

Good I'm off Friday. Been up since 6 what's up with that??

Love them...but there are like a million..Yeah about a thousand..O.K maybe 35...Halo used to chase them back into the woods..

What are you hunting? Hubby is taking Morgan hunting Saturday. Deer and hog I think. Or maybe it's just deer. I know it's bow.

We have Wolves and Coyotes and Foxes..We see a lot of dead Wolves by the side of the road.They must be as dumb as a box of rocks.

We have bobcats, foxes, coyotes, and copperheads. Of course we all know about the copperheads. Thankfully, no bears or cougars. I'd be armed too. Well I am armed most of the time anyway but with those I'd be double armed.

With all this talk about it being time for gathering the gingerbread ingredients, I guess we're all thinking about the seasons changing. I realized there are a few things I do look forward to in the fall, and actually asked at the Wawa when they would be getting some eggnog in. I can't wait for that!
