Speaking of herbs, I found out ginger fixes colic for babies, and willow bark can be used as an pain killer
It's good info to have. I'm not sure how you would get a baby to swallow something as bitter as ginger though. blech. Willow bark was the first aspirin, I still prefer it. But then I am a witchdoctor, so I always turn to herbs first. Doctors last. Much to the disgust of my MD brother. 
It was in vegetable glycerin actually... I am seeing it a lot more now that it is such a big part of my life. The baby has a stomach ache a lot, especially at night. Hardly any sleep for either of them, wife or baby. Mrs G got her "Gripe Water" it is ginger in a water VG solution, she said she has been a new baby tonight.
And we are done! Woo Hoo, let the weekend begin!!!!

I never tried ginger, but I used to put a bit of peppermint in water in a bottle for Ian when he was a baby.
It's pretty amazing how many home and herby remedies there are out there. And even more amazing how many work really well.
