I just wanted to say it's berm a really good day. Not for any particular reason, just because. I'm in a positive frame of mind today. I had my appointment and it was good, the curriculum that I messed up online got fixed, I got Alex's math and reading assessment inn my in box but haven't read it yet. I found out I do have the right to an independent eval for Alex. They can deny it but if they do they have to give a reason and I can appeal it. I'm waiting to get my nails done now and hope to Have time to go to Bath & Body Works when I'm done. So a good day it has been and I hope the same for y'all.

Busy day in hutsville, Mr. V and his friend are back working on the coop. It had taken a backseat to helping our neighbor. The neighbor is 86 and was going to fix his roof himself. Not a chance. Mr. V made him sit and direct while he did it for him.
Now that his roof is repaired the guys can get back to work over here. The old coop is not salvageable, (the entire floor and base are rotted out, it's ancient) so they are building a new one. Victor wants to help, but they won't let him. Meanies.

That's the extent of excitement over here.

Our fuel pump is inside the tank, so we would have to take it in to get it fixed.

Dropping the tank should be pretty easy. Just make sure the car is SECURELY on Jack stands before you crawl under it.

How are you feeling JD?

We had to do that on our old truck, rusty pita that it was.

I'm feeling fine. Ready for the weekend.
I once helped a friend drop the tank on his wife's grand Cherokee in a plant parking lot in 100 degree heat. The parking lot was covered in this hot black sand like stuff from the plant and of course she had just filled the tank. Every other fuel pump will seem easy forever.

For the fuel pump replacement in the Camaro, I just cut a 6 inch hole in the floor of the body in the trunk. The fuel pump lifted right out. I used the piece that I cut out and hinged it back into place using a couple of short bolts and lock washers, then silicone'd it tight. Ive had to get back into it once, but peeling the silicone off was much easier than trying to take the whole tank out.

So, my excitement for the day consisted of having to drive back to Columbia. Apparently, the equipment that I took to them yesterday was the wrong thing. My manager asked me why I took what I did. Um, because thats what you told me I needed to take...? He said No, I told you to take [another one]. Andy, why would I write down the same piece of wrong equipment twice, IM you with the wrong piece of equipment once, if that isnt what you told me? End result was that Columbia missed a customer contracted due date, and I had to drive back to Columbia again today.

Now, its off to do some post work time work. With any luck, I'll be on the clock until 7 or 8. I need the OT.

Y'all have a good evening.

I had the mail place wax my eyebrows. There was a mishap. Looks like I'm missing most of one.
Um... your mail place does eyebrows? They only handle letter and packages around here.

Good evening Posse! The VTR's and MVP2's were waiting on my front step for me when I got home today! If I have the right sized box, they will go out tomorrow. :)

I realized how deep my problem actually runs today. First a bit of background. I take different ways to work and home. I am usually in a bit of a rush to get to work. I make it on time 99.9999% of the time, but I still like a little wiggle room. I like taking my time on the way home, kinda a little time to relax. The slightly longer way I take home is a nice slow ride through the forest preserves. There is some residential area too, but at the end. Well today, I was a little more tired. I had a longer day because I had to drop off Mrs. G to help the family because of the nephew. I still took the same way home I always do. It just so happened I saw a doe with a fawn. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a huge buck running away from them. I just barely saw him but I knew he was huge. So what do I do... go home? Turn my truck to get a better look? No. I turn around and spend 45 minutes driving around in a small neighborhood trying to get a glimpse of him. In the end I found him, we spent about 30 seconds looking at each other. More than enough time to make me happy.
That's not a problem, that's what you call "taking time to sniff the flowers"! Bikers do this kind of stuff all the time, and most of our friends know not to worry when we're a bit late. :)

Our fuel pump is inside the tank, so we would have to take it in to get it fixed.
Why the ^&*# do they do this kind of carp?? Like one of the cars I've had where you had to remove the engine to change the spark plugs. :glare:

I usual ship packages at the mail place. Maybe that's why they messed it up.

I read the assessment reports on Alex from the homeschool place. The reading assessment is pretty straight forward and shows what I expected....college level reading comprehension, and a major deficit in semantics with inferential meanings. Classic Asperger's.

The Algebra assessment has me baffled. It gives his scores and tells what he has mastered, partially mastered, and not mastered but doesn't give me recommendations of what placement in math he needs. Half the stuff on there I've never even heard of so I know he's beyond what I understand.
