I try to make a habit of explaining the "why" behind decisions...people hate uncertainty and things that don't seem to make sense. I feel the same way. The reason may not be obvious, and people tend to not be committed to doing things that don't make sense! It also makes for unhappy folks, and I don't see why I would want the people who work for me to be unhappy. "Bosses" who don't think they should explain are usually no fun to work for. The Golden Rule applies here. If you don't like it done to you, don't do it to the people who work for you.

There are a lot more bad managers than good ones. Sad, but true.

Well, I didnt have to go to the field. But that didnt negate my workload much. I now have at least two pallets of equipment that I need to prep for shipping, and someone just brought in somwhere around 200 more cards for me to sift through. I'll be at three or four pallets by the end of the day, with the promise of more stuff being inbound, I may hit five by the end of the week. And none of my receiving is being done right now because of the massive influx of outbound materials.

Im going to ask my manager if he can approve some overtime for me to get this taken care of.

Tiff, Im sorry to hear about the dryer and the PV's... I know how bad that sux. I can send you a barely working LT (red) if you want it.

Hubby is working on the dryer. I hear the occasional dammit and the clink of tools. He hasn't figured it out yet though. I sure hope he does because I don't want to have to buy a new one.

Sorry about your pv and dryer Tiff but am sorrier still that I spent from 10 A.M. till 2 P.M. at the eye drs. What?? Yes...They did everything with my eyeballs but play championship Ping Pong with them....I kid you not...The dropped them,dripped them,poked them did a couple laser light shows and then sent me on my way after the Dr. gave me a hug..What?? Yes a hug and I needed it....Did I mention they were thorough? Quite the comprehensive eye exam...Mr.Crabbypants called me because he was worried about me..What?? Yes..he did.I'm nauseated and my cataract hurts...I came home.Fell asleep and ate a ham sandwich for dinner...What a day.... On a lighter note The flameless candles are rolling in.The pope would be proud....Did you know there are lighted tree branches available?? What?? Yes... I have a beautiful vase...just crying out for them...

What she said... I don't recommend eye ball ping pong... especially if they are still in your noggin. At least you have plenty of candles to keep you happy. When you get to know them a little better you can set up a light show to some music. Just slapping away at the remotes... you will be a YouTube star.
