So far not to bad at work. Had to stop on the way in at lows for a submersible pump. Basement dweler was on the couch this morning. Informed me there's water down there:lol: Just what I wanted to hear. Funtimes at the shack.

Sent from Drott's Dog house on the move
Ungh. I feel your pain. When it rains real good down here, I can easily fill/refill the wet vac several times. The worst amount we ever had in the water from rain "seepage" was about 200 gallons. The worst we ever had.... well... Lets just say I opened the back door to let the water FLOW through the door before I could start using the wet vac. That particular morning, I woke up and started my morning routine and realized there was no water pressure. Before I even got to the door to the basement I could hear the water flowing. The filter on the line that feeds from the well broke and the well pump was just goin' to town and filled up the whole basement, every room, with about 3 inches of water.

Hey there dood. How's the clean up going around town? I know you have power back, but how did your house fair?

My house did ok. We have most of the debris picked up. It took a crane and a bucket truck to cut the tree off the neighbors home. They wouldn't turn her power back on with the damage. They are estimating 4 months til her house will be done. The insurance company is bringing a travel trailer for her to stay in. its a mess. I'll feel the financial loss later but things are starting to get back to normal. I spent most of yesterday laying under the ceiling fan with the ac blasting and watching TV!

The Prettiest in NeverNear
The heat and Obama in the same place is very scary indeed.

Good morning everyone. Well... As good as a "Monday" morning can get. Naturally, I started mine off by oversleeping. Im normally up at 5, then take my time getting ready for the day. Not today though. I woke up, saw 5:47, and had to rush. Still had time to get my shower in and get to work on time though, so I guess no harm no foul.

As soon as I opened the door at work, I realized I had forgotten that the a/c was still out. Its only 85 degrees in here right now. Needless to say my office and the bay door are opened trying to get as much cool air in here as possible before it gets too warm outside. They are calling for rain today, which means that rain will end up coming through the doors. I dont really care though. Its better than closing the warehouse back up and watching the temps hit 90+ inside.

At least its a four day work week. Which means only a 44-48 hour work week.

I think I can accept those terms and not be too broken hearted about it. :D

Hope your morning commute wasnt too bad. Mine was hell. With the DNC starting today, even traffic away from downtown is rough. And it will only get worse once the president gets here. Yay. :glare:

I tried to stay up! But I started falling asleep at the computer.

Its the kind that will take packages from one place, and send it to you in another. :D

(sorry, I couldnt resist.)

Smoked tuna? Bleh? Granted, it may not be as good as fresh smoked tuna, but its still pretty darned tasty.

Not liking the "madhouse" part....

But good morning Drott.

Not liking that either. Gurgling vapes arent cool.

Hope you have a good day from here on out.
